Honestly I be never wrote a review for this when I bought it but just recently I bought 2 new knives from different companies and they just don’t compare to this one. I am also a fan the I can but the safety on after opening the blade as an added security measure to prevent the blade from closing.

Great quality! You do need to break it in a bit to get it working smoothly. But I have never had a folding knife I didn't. The spring assist button was a bit tough to use out of the box but I oiled it with some gun oil and worked it for while and came right into it. I saw reviews with people saying it was too tough. Once I broke it in there is no issue. Also use the pad of your finger to use the switch. It is very safe this thing is NOT going off in my pocket. IMO it is a switch blade. Check your state laws on this. My state pretty much allows everything. That research is not had to do. Love it! I am going to buy my brother one for Christmas.

This product is great for everyday carry, I use it every where I go, from cutting strings off of hay bales to carving wood.

Replaced my SOG Flashback Mini with this blade and I have zero regrets. Its 18 dollars less than the SOG at the time of this review, and yes it may feel SLIGHTLY cheaper than the SOG, but I could not open my SOG to save my life. This M&P opens just as fast, but with MUCH less effort. It isnt nearly as sharp as the SOG but besides that it feels great. The safety is also much better than the SOG. For a 30 dollar EDC you cant go wrong. I give it 4 stars because it isnt as sharp as it could be, and the black handle is more of a greyish green than a black.Update: I read about the tip being sharp and shaped strangely that can lead to cuts. Then I read a review about someone saying how they dont know what people are talking about, but I will confirm that the tip is slightly curved up where it can cut you upon opening. Granted it really can only happen when using the thumb screws to open the knife, but it certainly can catch you ]if you are no careful.

I have 5 of these and will continue to keep using them. They last forever and the 2 styles are awesome and easy to keep sharp. When you first get it you’re gonna need to do some serious sharpening. Once it’s sharp it stays sharp as heck. Never leave the house without it.

I also have2 of the SWMP4LS. One is my EDC and the other is clipped in a pocket of my fire gear. The 4LS is a breeze to open no matter how you choose to do so.This one not so much. I bought this knife to carry in my work boots, which have a small knife holster on the outside of the boot. I got into a situation when it was easier to get to my boot than it was my pocket. This knife was going to be perfect..... Until I tried to open it with one hand.If it gets easier with use I will upgrade the stars.
