what is the use of the small part coming with funnel? I could pour the oil in the bottles without that small attachment. am I missing something?

What is the regular smell alike? Not sure if this one is off or the smell is just like that…

There is a slight smell, but nothing offensive and nothing that lasts longer than 1 or 2 minutes - it has pretty much the generic smell of oil.
