Great quality, perfect fit, light weight, plug-n-play
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely fantastic! The GoPro Media Mod for Hero 12 Black/Hero 11 Black/Hero 10 Black/Hero 9 Black is a game-changer. This accessory transforms my GoPro into a versatile powerhouse, perfect for vlogging and content creation. The built-in directional mic captures clear, crisp audio, significantly enhancing the sound quality compared to the standard GoPro mic. The additional ports for HDMI-out, 3.5mm mic, and USB-C are incredibly convenient, offering great flexibility for connecting various accessories. The Media Mod's design is sleek and seamlessly integrates with my GoPro, ensuring it remains compact and easy to handle. A must-have for any GoPro user looking to elevate their content quality. Highly recommended!

Genuine but costly than local market
Working fine but price could be little bit less as it costs exactly same price mentioned on the package.

Average mic quality but useful mod
Mic quality of the mod is average . Voice is clear but towards high frequency.Mod is useful for external mic attachment, charging the gopro without removing battery. So it serves its purpose. You can buy it without any doubt .

Works well till it works well.
I have owned the GoPro Media Mod with my GoPro Hero 9 Black for the past 4 years. Even though the mod works till now (for its functionality), I cannot use it anymore because of its weird quirks. But first let be review the product for all its functionalities.Things I like:1. Build quality - It's made of plastic, but good quality plastic. so it feels premium. For the cost of it, I feel the build quality is adequate.2. Ease of Use - It is very easy to use. You need to remove the battery gate on your GoPro Camera and the camera slides right into the Media Mod. The USB C port aligns perfectly and the Media Mod is connected to your GoPro. You can find the media mod functions on your GoPro getting enabled Automatically.3. Sound Quality - With the Media Mod, the sound quality improves significantly. The wind-shielded microphone does the job really well. Whether you are using the GoPro to record yourself talking or record the visuals with you narrating how you feel, the mics work quite well. There are modes where you can toggle among mics - the front mic, the rear mic and the onboard camera mics. This makes the Media Mod super flexible for various kinds of usage. On top of it, on the back side of the mod, there are three ports available - Mini HDMI, USB Type C & Line-in. These ports, too, make the Mod very handy as you do not have to look for different accessories to connect the camera to a display device, for charging on the go or connecting an external microphone. These ports are covered with rubber plugs, making them water-resistant to some extent.Things that I do not Like:1. Size - The Media Mod makes the camera too big and adds substantial weight. This makes mounting the camera on my motorcycling helmet uncomfortable on my neck. Since the camera becomes bigger, it attracts greater wind resistance while riding and unwanted wind blast noises seep into my helmet. Also, at high speeds, the wind resistance due to the mounted GoPro on the helmet is significantly felt on the neck.2. Ergonomics - Since the inbuilt cardioid microphone is placed on one corner of the Media Mod, that edge is definitely bigger in size than the rest of the Media Mod. With the camera roll/cut button right next to that mount, it gets difficult to operate the camera with the Media Mod on just by feeling, especially with gloved hands while riding the motorcycle. The click of the GoPro side and top buttons are not felt at all when using the Media Mod with a gloved hand. The one thing that I hated with the Media Mod is that every time I needed to change the battery of my GoPro (which would be quite a lot), I had to remove the camera from the Thumb Screw Mount because even with the Media Mod the Camera is still mounted on the On-Camera mounts. With every battery change, the camera has to be pulled out of the Media Mod and put back all over again. This is annoying and time-consuming.3. Waterproofing - Waterproofing is questionable while using the GoPro with the Media Mod. It definitely cannot be submerged. My camera has malfunctioned multiple times whenever I got caught in a sudden heavy downpour while riding my motorcycle. It tends to handle just about light rainfall, that's it. The microphones, too, lose clarity when the unit gets wet.4. Quirks that have started after using it for two years - With the Media Mod mounted, the camera automatically keeps switching on and off in specific intervals. Even if I put the charger connected to the USB C type port (the 100 W charger of my Macbook Pro), the battery won't charge beyond 6%. The whole unit becomes extremely hot and remains so till the camera battery is completely drained out. The Media Mod suddenly stop getting detected by the camera and to bring it back, I need to restart the camera. There is no official support available for GoPro in India, thus, on reaching out to GoPro Customer Support over e-mail, I got absolutely no response from them. While this Mod cost me a substantial amount of money, I would say it was too expensive a purchase, just for using it for two years without any issues. While I like the accessory, I feel it needs major improvement - like the brand GoPro needs improvement in terms of the reliability of its products. I have used GoPro cameras since their early generations (as early as Hero 3) and I have experienced the cameras malfunctioning right at the moment you need them to function fine.

A Perfect Accessory for Gopro if You are a Content Creator
If you make content with gopro then this is the right acccessory for you. Previously I was using the mic adapter which costs less. I does the job if you make videos remaining stationary. But in case of travel contents where I need to move I was having loose contact issues and audio was not recorded when checked. Also there is no audio signal indicator if you us e mic adapter. But with media mod you get the audio signal indicator so you can monitor audio is recorded or not. But I had some connection issues initially. So I had to reset to defaults reflash the firmwire in gopro to make it work.
