Tough and good looking
Everything a Buck is known for. Strong and good looking. The fit and finish is better than some of my more expensive knives. As soon as you see it you know it's a Buck from the shape and the brass bolsters. No blade play and a solid lock up. For the money, if I didn't just buy one, I'd get one.The problem for me is the handle is too long to ride comfortably in my pocket when I'm out and about, I have a very nice Case at 3in closed for that. I know already what I'll carry when I'm working around the house though.Buck has earned it's reputation. The 110 was on everyone's belt in the army from enlisted on up. Never let us down and I'm sure this baby110 wont either.

Knives are Bountiful Art work and Excellent Knives
These Buck knives are like artwork. So beautiful you don't want to scratch them or even smudge the polished brass or blade. Just the weight of the knives is more than you would anticipate. Great quality build for these knives. I have 2 of the 3 models in this build. Will get the 3rd on soon. Well worth the money paid. You could pay more but not get better quality

The Buck 55 is the nicest looking folding knife out of the line of Bucks
It’s small but I like the way the wood and brass has a radius. Other folding Buck knives don’t have this feature. I wish Buck made a larger knife in this fashion. To finish off the blade, I used 600, 1500, and 7000 wet and dry sandpaper to polish the satin blade marks out and it provided a mirror polish. It’s turned into a beautiful knife.

A wonderful EDC
I am not a knife collector, but I do like to have a few good knives to choose from to keep around me when a need for one arises. After a while of contemplating getting my first Buck, I went to a local store and held the 55. I immediately loved it. It is small and narrow and easy to hold. The transitions from the wood to the metal is the smoothest I have ever seen. There are a lot of small details about this knife, such as the beautiful two-tone ebony wood. This knife also came quite sharp. My son and I tried it out on a piece of wood and very little effort was needed to do a decent whittle. It opens easily, but is stiff enough not to worry that it will open when not desired. The lock is easy to disengage, with a little more pressure than I usually use, but not so much that my thumb gets a groove (it’s also a new knife, so that’ll work in some more). While I was not excited to spend approx. $70 on a knife (I had never spent more that $30 on a knife that I can recall), I was excited to get my first ever Buck and I love that the 55 is like a tiny 110, which adds to the feeling that I have a small piece of history in having this knife. I also get Buck's forever warranty with this knife, which is an added bonus. I do want this knife to last a lifetime and to hand it down one day. It is well made, comfortable to hold for smaller hands, and is easier to carry in a woman's selection of pockets and such things without issue. I was on the fence, but I am very happy I made the purchase. It is my absolute favorite knife. You can see and feel the Buck quality that everyone has been talking about.

Classic Smaller Sized Knife
Don't let it fool you though. It is insanely sharp. I cut my finger and didn't even realize when I was showing the knife to my wife until I started seeing blood splotches on it and my hands. But yeah, a great little pocket knife for lighter duty and precision tasks with an exquisite design, materials, and craftsmanship.Update: The cut healed after 1 day and was so clean and sharp that I can't even tell where it was at all - and yeah, I don't have a problem with my nerves nor eyesight or anything. But enough about that...Thanks.

So far the best small knife I’ve come across
You might wonder why this thing is priced like it’s big bros. I wondered myself, it almost seemed impossible that this knife would be half the size of the 110, but it really is. The biggest difference is that from 110 to 112 the knife gets shorter but stays thick. The 112 is a heavy knife for its size. The 55 is thinner, much thinner. All that being said it’s also the only small knife I’ve found that feels as solid as a big knife. This thing is nice, I noticed right away that the bolsters were superior to my Texas toothpick from buck. It’s like when you get to that $60 price point they use much better materials. It’s a great knife if you simply do not want to carry around a 110 or 112. The 55 is definitely small enough to fit into the small pocket in your jeans. It’s useful and not at all intimidating. This is your “box hunting” knife, your fruit ninja knife.

Pay attention to the size
Ordered one. Didnt realize its tiny. Thats my bad. Still a sharp good blade but would be cool of it was the same size at the 110s for the price. But hey cool got another knife.
