Great Pros, couple of manageable Cons
Great Pros, couple of manageable Cons . . .This is a good design that is sturdy, easy to install and does not feel cheaply made. We use it to fit iPad Air 2 with a hinged keyboard in our patrol cruisers so agents can do all their reports while on property, including recording violations and tickets. We are a highend security company. Highend in our case means that all agents have military of law enforcement background and are quipped with military grade gear do to their job, such as FLIR, and driving nice vehicles.Out of the box the mounting brackets are easy to understand but we faced a couple of issues. The bolt provided didn't fit neither the car seat bolt or the provided bolt. That meant a trip to the hardware store to get the right bolt. A bit of a pain, but ultimately that's no big deal.Depending on the vehicle you put it in, be aware that you are taking leg space from the passenger side. That means if this is for your family vehicle because you are a sales rep and use your personal car for work, then someone in your family will complain. This is not something you can easily move out of the way without consequences. But, however, it is something you can really work on and that will handle weight of the laptop and you taking tight corners if you are an aggressive driver. The quick adjust handle is awesome! It allows to rotate and tilt the tray quickly and easily. So, if you need to show something to a client or your ride along it is easily done. One thing to watch for are all the little tightening knobs under and around the tray. they are necessary to accommodate the variety of electronic you would want on that tray, but with the driving then loosen, so once in a while, or as you get in your cruiser everyday, go around and under the tray with your hand and tighten everything. I don't think that there could be a way around that small issue.I will buy this product again for other cruisers as we grow our fleet. I may consider the more expensive model that has a collapsible tube that may allow for an adjustment that will save leg room for the passenger.I will post again in a year or so to speak to the longevity of the product.

great product
I wrote out a nice review yesterday, but somehow it didn't post.Anyways, idk what the other guy is talking about - although the instructions are a bit unclear, it doesn't take a genius to figure it out.I bought this product almost a year ago, and after heavy use, it's still working just fine, as the day I bought it. Even after throwing the tray around in my trunk - none of the moving parts have broken - the plastic seems to be of pretty high quality - doesn't melt or warp under the texas sun.Your laptop will be safe in this product - just make sure you install it right (the handle is very important). So, it's a cheap and durable product - meets my expectations exactly and I couldn't ask for anything more. Buying a more expensive product wouldn't make a difference imho.Added benefits - you can remove the tray if you don't need to use it and the mount is very inconspicuous in a small car.

they're a little shady trying to 'buy good reviews' with their free light deal you find out ...
First thing, yes, they're a little shady trying to 'buy good reviews' with their free light deal you find out about when you open the package. Either way, yes, I like this stand, but only because I'm not trying to over load it like some people are complaining about. If you try to slap a full size or even worse, a toughbook, on this mount you're gonna have a bad time. This mount is perfect for holding smaller things like tablets or netbooks. My Samsung N150 netbook looks like it was made to go on this stand but it weighs so little it works well with this mount. Honestly if you can afford to have a toughbook in your truck then you afford to also have a good stand to hold it, so don't expect this light duty stand to handle a heavy duty laptop. Also as noted by others, if you don't mount this directly to the seat bolt then it will shake about horribly, that little bracket they have for slipping it under the seat bolt is worthless so use the cup to mount it directly over the seat anchor bolt.

Not Practical...
Mount base is impractical for most vehicles. (Allows for alot of shake/wobble).Laptop plate attachment point is WAY to short and makes adjustment knobs difficult, at best, to access.Unit is NOT PRACTICAL.

Exceptional fit in my Ram trucks
This unit has taken my unorganized mobile office (my truck) and turned it into a functioning workspace. I love how easy it is to place my MacBook, and secure it in under 10 seconds. This addition to my truck really fits my busy lifestyle. Well designed and, very easy to install.

Sturdy works as advertised
This desk has chairs my life. Instead of trying to balance the laptop on my lap and type like a T-Rex while looking straight down giving me a sore neck I can easily type and am much more productive. My work car is a Chevy Cruze the seat trac does not have a bolt so I could slide in the foot of this but no bolt to hold it in place. Ended up drilling a bolt through the seat track and locking the food in. Was very easy. Still able to just unhook it’s when o have a passenger. I have a really big and heavy lap top so it can wobble but never feels like it’s going to fall or come apart. If you have a heavy and large laptop get the stability bar too.

Wobbly at the Base
Pretty easy installation and they give you enough tools to anticipate any setup variation, but I was pretty disappointed with how wobbly it was at the point where the solid lug connects to the easy release portion of the arm. It feels like the hollow lug would probably fit better than the solid lug. As a result, usage of the solid lug means a wobbly laptop stand for $100+ which doesn't feel worth it.
