Great for live fire AND non-firing practice
High quality product that meets my needs for practicing and verifying function of my 40 S & W handguns. Excellent for use in range time. Insert one of these "somewhere" in the magazine and you'll find out if you're as steady during shooting as you think you are. When the snap cap comes up and you're steady...you're good to go. If you flinch when the snap cap is loaded...you've identified a place where you can improve. I happen to have a 40 S&W revolver...these work great for practicing reloads without putting myself and my surroundings in danger of an unintended discharge.

May not work in your gun.
When I first opened this I was very happy with the fact that these have similar weight to a live round- this would allow for a better weight feel while practicing dry fire. This fed through my PPX 40cal, but immediately jammed up my Ruger SR40c. I finally worked it loose, but it was jammed tight. When compared to the A-Zoom 40 cal product, it is notably longer. I suspect that it has more to do with the dimensions where the extractor grabs it since the exact same thing happened with the 9mm version in my SR9c.

They were at a good price point and work just as well as some of the more expensive snap caps on the market. They load into the chamber just as well as live rounds and have had no issues with the ejecting. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is I feel that they are just too easy to get them mixed up with a live round because of there looks.I do believe they need to color coat the tips with a bright color so as not to get them mixed. I just bought some florescent and marked the tips so as not to make that mistake.

better than the blue or red aluminum ones.
these work better than the more expensive blue or red ones. I like them better tor continuous malfunction clearing practice because they are brass which is harder than aluminum and the color does not scratch off.

Works well
Work perfectly for dry fire and misfire drills. I would have liked them to be a bright color for finding them later though.

Great product. Really good quality
Great product. Really good quality. Just like real rounds. In fact, exercise caution with these "dummy" rounds. They are so realistic, you could easily mix in live rounds if you have a lapse in concentration! Use the four (plus) rules of gun safety and you'll be good to go!

Perfect to weight the magazine, do not use in barrel
I bought these when they were $13.00 for 10 pieces. I would not spend more than $2-3/ea, certainly not $9/ea. Don't use brass snap caps to cycle the gun, just use them to weight the magazine to practice draw and reloads. I have both 9mm and 40 cal, the 40's do not fit in my KKM 2011 barrel.

The envy of everyone on the range. High quality! Had some debate with the ranger master about getting ammo mixed up with live, but some paint should quell the know-it-all's (and help you make sure no one else walks off with them)
