Review after a month (4 star review based on price)
Edit: so after a month of use, here is the skinny on these bluetooth headphones... They sound pretty decent considering the $12 price tag, they however constantly wiggle themselves out of place, they don't fall out but they move enough that the bass response changes and it gets annoying quick! While changes the silicone ear piece they broke, I wasn't being ruff (not at all) but they broke, it was easily fixed by using superglue, and it's been holding strong.... The battery life is absolutely terrible!!!!!! Mine die at about 3 hours, hopefully this helps someoneSo reviewed these headphones on Thursday 01/08/16... Initial reaction was unimpressive build quality.. This is my 3rd pair of Bluetooth headphones... I had the 2nd generation of LG Tones and the 1st generation of Motorola S10's... Great build quality on both, Great for phone calls on both and BOTH had unimpressive sound quality for music.... These Bluetooth QY8's are impressive for music!!! Especially considering they were $37.00 for 2 pairs and that included 2 day shipping at $11... So $13.00 a pair..... The bass output is NOT impressive, but they scream!! And the bass is OK, again considering what they cost... I do miss the vibrate feature of my LG Tones and they were also much more simple to operate BUT they cost me just under $80 through Verizon... I'm gonna make some ear tips from a pair of earplugs and see if that changes the bass response but the biggest complaint is the battery life... I drive for a living and they won't make a whole day, not even close... I got less than 5 hours total use time... I wonder if all the different variations of the QY8's are exactly the same or if some are better than the other??? They are sold by a large number of sellers each throwing their on Brand name on them and prices ranging from $13.00 to $34 a pair... My LG Tones were 3 years old and were outdated as far as Bluetooth headphones. Have Bluetooth headphones all become this loud? Because that was my biggest complaint... Are these headphones special or does the new 4.2 Bluetooth allow for a higher audio output?

Performs as Well As Other Brands Twice the Price
I have tested and reviewed numerous Blue Tooth head sets by manufacturer request, including several brands of this particular style, in which the ear phone is outside the ear and supported by the rubber ear pieces inside. I have found this style of ear buds to be most comfortable. Also, the sound quality, connectivity, and adjustability of this style can be excellent. What surprises me about this brand is the price--$15 for a pair that performs as well as some brands twice the price.COMPONENTS: These headphones come in a black zip pouch with a set of instructions, a bag of alternative size earbud tips and inner ear bands, and a USB cord (see pics).CONNECTIVITY: These headsets paired fairly easily with both my iPad and Galaxy. You hold down the power button (the circular area on one of the ear pieces) PAST the time that it takes to turn on, until you see the red and blue light alternate and hear the words "You are now in pairing state." Then, you select "QY8" in your bluetooth settings and connection is immediate. I prefer when headsets automatically pair when they're on, but this is the next best thing.ADJUSTABLE EAR PIECES: This is CRITICAL. This style of headset comes with different sized ear pieces that you can easily swap out, as well as many different size ear bands for inner support. My husband and I always take a size smaller ear piece--the average ear piece is too big and painful.COMFORTABLE DESIGN: This is also critical. This style has a unique design that allows the ear pieces to sit away from your ears so that they are not pulling on or obstructing it or dragging weight on the ear. In addition to the ear bud itself, there is a little rubber piece that provides a light springy cushion to keep the ear piece comfortable.USABILITY: To turn on and off, you push a large circular power button that covers the whole right ear piece (holding down for 3 seconds to turn on or off). Volume is easy as well. After you have positioned the ear buds in your ears, you will feel along the front ridge of one of the ear buds a little button to hold (up for increased volume and down for decreased volume). The instruction manual is easy to follow . NOTE: You can't use this style head phone to fall asleep with because they don't lie flat to the ear; but I realize that it's the design that keeps the device away from the ear that makes them so comfortable. So this is actually a bonus rather than drawback.EASY TO CHARGE: These headphones come with a charge already there, and they are easy to charge with a USB cord provided.AESTHETICS: These headphones come in a little black zip bag, rather than an expensive gift box presentation, and this is where you're probably saving money, but this would still make a nice gift and the carrying case is useful to have one hand, whereas a gift box will be thrown away.EASY POSITIONING: It is easy to insert this style of headphone incorrectly at first and think they are not going to fit. Position the ear buds in your ears so that the curve is running backward, away from your face, rather than forward (see pick). Once positioned, they are so comfortable. In addition to the ear bud, there's a little band that fits inside your ear to keep it in comfortably. Clever design. Highly recommend.

Great Value and Great Product
These are really great headphones. I love the wireless/Bluetooth capability. They allow me to listen to music without having to carry my phone in my hand. Just put the phone in my fanny pack and go. The battery charge lasts a long time and they are easy to use- just press and hold the button to power on and power off ( a nice lady tells you when you have powered on or powered off). The sound quality is great. The ear placement is a little awkward because they are kind of big, but once you get them in place, they stay. I like the size of the ear plug part (the part that goes in your ear canal) because it feels water tight (not sure if they are waterproof but what I mean is that it fills your ear- no other sound will get in- I like that!) The only downside is that I don't like the plastic strap- it kind of gets caught- doesn't stay in place and it kind of sticks to your neck sometimes, causing you to move your head around to dislodge it. There is a little piece on the strap that allows you to cinch it shorter but I haven't figured out how to get that to work. Overall, really great product for the price. Highly recommend.
