Legit Instruments
These whistles sound far better than I had expected, especially at this price point. They are VERY similar to my Susato whistles in tone and volume. Plenty of both! You dont have to fight to get a pleasing tone. They have more of a woody, 'flutey' sound (as opposed to a metal whistle), i prefer that woodier sound and seek it out. These are perfect for hiking, camping or travel. I think you'd have to be trying in order to damage one. Try them out, they're affordable, fun and easy to play.

Outer side of case was scrapped.
Nice to take off mouthpiece and readjust. The main complaint was that there were some scraps on the outside of the carrying case. The Case is great but for the scraps. Enjoy the 2 keys.

GREAT SET, SWEET SOUND, EASY TO PLAY
The media could not be loaded. I got interested in Irish whistles on a whim - wanting something cheerfully to play while walking or hiking or just something to create simple tunes with. Nothing too complicated or anything that would cause my fingers to reach too far. I am sooo glad I bought this set! They have a very delightful sound and encourage creativity because of the ease of playing and the limited scale. However, you can reach for a higher octave by adjusting your breath and thus get the higher scale notes.I experimented and created a little jig that you can see in the video. Sorry if my playing isn't all that great. I'm still getting used to trying to hit the higher scale and still need practice! But you get the idea. Although I'm a "beginner" and I don't really read music notes (yet) I play lots of little jigs and ditties I make up and record for fun.The set comes with an imitation leather case and a black velvet smooth inner lining with three pocketed sleeves to house them. I was able to add a third whistle in the case and everything fit and zipped up nicely!Of all my bamboo flutes, dizi's, and Irish whistles, this is by far my favorite go to whistle. I take it with me on trips, long car trips (with my husband driving of course), and where ever and whenever I get the desire to have it with me to play something sweet and fun. I attached a leather string to it so I can wear it on hikes. To me, this set was worth every penny because I have had hours of entertainment and music creativity composing many happy tunes with them!

Charming case and presentation, but a problematic whistle.
I'm a woodwind player (clarinet, saxophone), with 20 years of experience on pennywhistle/Irish whistle. I own probably 25 or more commercially produced and vintage whistles, and have made my own whistles in multiple sizes from metal, wood, and plastics. I've made great, well-balanced instruments from less that a $1 in materials. I own some very expensive instruments, but I also LOVE inexpensive whistles, and don't consider myself to be a snob. If it plays well and has useful musical character, I'm gonna be a fan!I also LOVE a well-presented product, and cheer extra hard when good results come from well-designed but inexpensive things. The price and the case, and the look and feel of these whistles make me want SO badly to say that they're a solid choice, but for musical resons, I just cannot.I'm going to respectfully be frustrated with the reviews that admit the upper register is problematic, but go on to say it's a 'solid' whistle or a 'decent intermediate whistle' or 'ok for performance', or even more problematically, 'okay for beginners' Why should we so casually forgive a fundamental sound defect in a musical instrument where there are so many examples of instruments that DON'T have the problems these whistles have? And why would such instruments be recommended to beginners, who specifically need to NOT be fighting their instruments as they learn? In my opinion, any Irish whistle worthy of the name needs to operate reasonably well through two octaves in order to play the expected repertoire. The upper notes of the second register are not some exotic territory only for advanced players. Good whistles play those notes JUST FINE without any special techniques other than a proportional increase in breath support. The Woodi whistles here play reasonably well with tonal and breath balance up to the #F of the upper register, but the G immediately introduces harsh overtones and requires more air support, and it only gets more problematic from there. G and above sound like notes from some other, harsher instrument. In form, the instrument borrows heavily from the Susato line of instruments, and could fairly be said to be a copy. Thinking I might be judging too harshly, I just went and played all three of my Susato whistles, and just as I remembered, there isn't even a HINT of this problem. They play completely smoothly and progressively over and past the upper G, and every note sounds related to every other. So there's just no need for a plastic whistle of this form to have this kind of glitch. The problem is worse on the longer D whistle, and a little less harsh on the C, but they're still both a pretty strong NOPE for me.Until the folks who own the injection molds for this instrument figure out what needs tweaking to balance the upper register, I can't join the Woodi club. Bummer.... I was REALLY hoping these would be just as sweet in playability as they are in every other way.Because they're inexpensive, I'm going to keep my set of two and screw around with them in my shop to see if I can discover how to balance the upper register. I'll come back and comment if I make any major progress on that.I did manage already to attach a Susato mouthpiece to one of the Woodi bodies, and it immediately solved the problem of the upper register. So it's clear that the problem is in the mouthpiece portion: (windway, fipple, etc.)
