Suprised
This arrived yesterday - I wasn't aware I had ordered it. Like others mention, I notice it isn't the same cover but also when you open it the print is too far to the left with a lot of white space on the right - it won't stop me reading it but it looks a mess - the dedication etc is also off center - I seem to have paid quite a lot for this book on 'Pre order' ( no idea I usually buy Kindle books - might be my mistake I don't know) I'm going to have to look on it as a 'nice surprise' as sending it back isn't possible. Am sure Julia will entertain me but paying over the odds for a book 'second' isn't a good start.

Disappointing
I am a great fan of The Artists Way and Vein of Gold so Julia Cameron’s book The Listening Path sounded like a great addition.Sadly I took nothing away from this book that wasn’t in the Artists Way and I found that I got bored reading it.If you’ve never read the Artists Way I highly recommend it but I wouldn’t bother getting this as well.Disappointing.

Disappointing
I have The Artist's Way, and the workbook and The Artist's Way in Retirement - someone bought me all three as a present. They all basically say exactly the same thing. I was hoping this would be different. It isn't. It's exactly the same!

The Path is illuminated for all those willing to follow it.
The Listening Path has helped shine a light and deepen my connection to those I love. It's about real connection: The stuff that makes you come alive and appreciate each day's gifts. You do the work and it truly works. Even on those hard days when it feels like you're just slogging through, the path is illuminated for all those willing to follow it. Once again, Julia Cameron is a visionary and leader. I resonated more with this book than "The Artist's Way" I also recommend that you check out "Walking in this world" and "Heart Steps"

Disappointment
I have read the artist's way and it changed my life. So I was eager to get my hands on the newest book. What a disappointment. Someone should tell Julia that she can't keep repeating the same formula and expecting it to work. Especially if you ran out of fresh ideas. I'm sorry but this book has nothing to offer but persobal anecdotes and interviews to her friends that have little value for readers. Tasks are repetitive and the whole book is like a bunch of morning pages that shouldnt have seen the light, let alone charge people to read them. If you liked the artist's way and Julia, stay away from this book to keep it that way. I hope she notices and writes when she has something to say instead of when she needs money in.

If you have the other books - is it worth it? YES!
I was wondering if I get this book when I already have most of the others books by Julia which I have got through many times including the artists way, the prosperous heart, walking in this world, and finding water. I decided to go for it - and yes. The answer is yes. Soooo worth. I love it and feel inspired again. If you are one of the already-fans, this book will take you to the next level. Thank you Julia. I am so loving it.
