Didn’t work trying to set up dual monitors using HDMI or Display Port from the USB-C or Thunderbolt 4 ports of different laptops.

I've a Dell G15 5521 with thunderbolt 4.I'd seen a colleague with the simpler version so I thought I'd take a punt on this as the thunderbolt hubs are way expensive.My principal need is to drive three separate displays at HD resolution. This review is currently aimed at this use case.The HDMI and display port both work and extend the Ubuntu 22.04 gnome desktop without the need to fiddle any settings other than the usual extend display and monitor ordering. This gives me the three displays I need.The displays seems to be solid with no flickering.The USB ethernet works though I've no real need for this at the moment.Notes- The Dell has a HDMI out which I've not tried in this combination to see if I can get 4 extended displays. Bear in mind this may or may not work based on the laptop GPU.- I've not tried 2k or 4k monitors.- I've yet to try the USB ports or SD card.- this device will not give you thunderbolt 3 or 4 capabilities.The device was an Amazon warehouse return which made this a steal IMHO. The company I work for has bought one.

Bought this on recommendation. It didn't work. Borrowed the exact same model from a friend and that one worked fine. Missed the window to return, now I have a useless Dock. Cheers amazon 👍
