We are only 4 days in but so far this is a fantastic advent calendar. The ornaments are so exactly what I want in the world--real wood, hand painted, and goofy as hell. My 10 year old son loves it too. I couldn't recommend this more. Now I'm looking for a little reusable advent calendar box to make this work year after year.

Had it about a year now and it’s going strong. It’s now a tradition to put up her little tree each year. The charms are just darling. I would love to purchase a pack of just different charms so I can change them up every year.

A great Advent calendar activity for kids. This was a cute tree to decorate and have sitting out for the holiday season with an easy to see representation of how much longer until Christmas. Our 3 and 6 year old were excited to open up each day and hang the ornament on the tree. They also enjoyed that there were many different surprise ornaments, so not every ornament was the same day after day.Cons with this product were that the kids struggled to open the flap each day on their own, as the perforations were not easy to get through - I'm talking almost adult proof at times. Also, there were two broken ornaments that were easily glued back together, but is still worth mentioning. Once glued back together, the ornaments were taken off and on the tree by the three year old all season, so they must be sturdy enough.Overall a cute advent calendar that was enjoyed by the whole family as it doesn't look too "kiddish", and will be used again next year - just without the challenging box.

Pieces were not secure. Several of the ornaments broke. The small hooks that ornaments hang on have fallen out. Unfortunately this product is overpriced. Would not recommend.

The tree is cute and easy to put together. It did come missing 5 ornaments though.

The media could not be loaded. Love love love! Each piece is made of good quality wood! You heard that... wood! I fully expected all of this to be cardboard like and very flimsy. But this is an awesome find! My child's Elf Joy, filled our advent calendar with all the ornaments and set up the tree! My only slight complaint would be some of the painting on some of the ornaments, but it looks like that could be from the amount of work that would go into painting these pieces, so I'm not complaining very hard! Would recommend, and would purchase again if I hadn't already!

This advent calendar comes flat packed, and may seem a bit flimsy at first glance, but when you put it together, the tension of squeezing the pieces into the base holds it up nicely. Everything, including the tree, base, ornaments and star are wooden. The hooks are a brass-colored metal (you may need to adjust a few with pliers if they're too close to the tree to allow you to hang an ornament).The outside of the front has perforated "doors" that can be popped out for each day, including the central tree which you pop out first. You attach the star separately, and there are four little orb ornaments to start the tree off separate from the advent calendar part of it. I was a bit worried at first when we opened the tree panel, because the plastic that holds the pieces in place was reversed - If yours arrives this way, all you need to do is carefully pull the plastic packaging insert out and flip the box around. The ornaments in the plastic insert will then line up with the "doors."While the advent tree looks well made and can be reused in future years, the packaging itself will not be reusable. If you want to set it up as an advent calendar next year, you can buy a separate wooden advent calendar with little doors or drawers to put the ornaments in it. This same company makes one (also reasonably priced) that comes in the shape of a tree with wooden drawers, and one of the reviewers of that one stated that they are big enough to fit three kisses into which should be plenty large enough to fit these ornaments in since they're so tiny.

The hook part is cheaply made. Some of the hooks are squeezed shut so you can't attach an ornament, and one of the hooks just broke off when we tried to attach the ornament. Total waste of money.
