Great value!
Fit my 2013 JKU wrangler perfectly. Had to cut for the locating dowels, which was super easy and expected. They work great! No more hood flutter. It's pretty obvious they are not moulded from the highest quality, but would definitely buy again!

Few functional issues, but gets the job done
These are great esthetically, the only issues were some plastic little tabs that we had to cut off to get these to fit 100%. So if you have a 2008 jeep wrangler be prepared to either drill holes to make it fit or cut the plastic tabs off. Also, the latch springs are a bit strong so it’s a little difficult to close the hood if there’s only one person. The latches tend to lean too far inward towards the engine so when the hood is lowered the little latch gets squished by the hood. U have to have long arms or have a second person hold the latch outward until the hood is closed. Other than that, it’s 100% functional, the hood secures great and it looks great.

They rust and get stuck
Had for 6 weeks. The pins, springs, ets of the internal workings are completely rusted. A rusty spring won’t last long and neither will these. Also you cannot latch well. They fold in as you are trying to close hood. Look nice and that’s it. I want my money back but I am too late now…

Need to drill holes
As stated in other reviews it's important to drill out the two smaller alignment holes in the hood to line up with the pins on the backside of the latch. Once that is done it fits up great and is very sturdy. You do need 3 hands to close the hood however, the metal loop part is spring loaded and pushes inward when opening the hood and you need to pull them outwards to lower the hood into place. Also there are little rubber inserts in the bottom of the top portion of the latch that fall out and I will have to superglue them in. Overall they're great latches and a bargain at the price but with these caveats.

Good latches, but not quite right.
The latches are good quality and firmly latch. Once installed, you will not be disappointed. My hood no longer bounces around when I pass a semi-truck going the opposite direction like they did with the elastomer latches. With that said, the latches have two guide posts or dimples on the back that are supposed to align with the two holes in the side panel that are there to ensure proper alignment. These guide posts are simple plastic extrusions that are supposed to set in the holes while you use the two bolts to secure the latch. Thus, as you tighten the nuts, the guide posts keep the latch aligned.Unfortunately, these guide posts are not properly positioned. Come on, the JK latching has been standardized for some time now. This is a workmanship flaw that should have been corrected long ago. The good news is that you can use a wire cutter or Dremel to cut off those guide posts. Then, you have to manually align the latch while you tighten down the bolts. Once tight, the latch does not move, so it is no longer an issue. Even so, really? As for their operation, mine tend to tuck inward. This means you need three hands to close the hood. You need one to lower the hood and one to hold back each of the two side latches to let the hood come down where it can be gripped and latched. It seems they should spring load outward, out of the way. The OEM latches on my wife's jeep acts that way. The hood lowers between to outwardly laying latches. Then, you close each latch individually and it is snug.As far as looks and general quality, they are a good buy. Installation and operation... Hmmm.

KMFCDAE JL OEM Hood Latches
I bought these hood latches to replace the older metal ones that I had on my 2011 JKU. The hood mounted part of the latch was very easy to install and it was accomplished quickly. The bottom part of the hood latch was a real pain indeed, though the difficulty didn't have anything to do with the hood latch, but getting to those nuts on the left and the right on the lower fenders was very hard and took a lot of time. Not only that I had to take off the grill, but I had to partially dissemble the plastic fender liners to get to them. That being said, these hood latches look really good and they appear to be very sturdy as well and they hold the hood down very well and are hard to latch.Because of the difficulty I had on the installation, I don't think I'll be changing them any time at all.I would not buy this item again. Very hard to close. I should have bought MOPAR OEM hood latches .

Look great but hard to close hood
I put these latches on my 2014 JK with some very minor modifications. They look great and fit nicely. The only problem is trying to close the hood. Once you unlatch the hood and open it, the metal clamps spring inward toward the engine bay. This means you have to hold them outward simultaneously while lowering the hood. The factory JL hood latches hold the metal clamp away from the hood once they are unlatched. I would have sent them back but couldn’t due to my minor modifications.

Minor modification for JK
No more hood lift and bounce. These work great and are really easy to install on a JK with one minor modification of removing the two nylon nipples before installation. Some people complain the hood is hard to close because you need to move the latches out before shutting it but its really not that difficult and a small price to pay to no longer have hood bounce.
