I'm laughing because I did the same thing some other reviewers did - made sure they were charged, set to "G" for motion detecting, and waved my hands/moved/jumped in front of them - To no avail.Major bummer. They weren't cheap to buy - Did I have to return them? Were they duds? Did the sensor not work? Well, I was in a bright room -I moved into a dark space and they popped right on! Puzzle solved: These lights have a reliable motion detector in lower light. They "see" better in dim or dark, if that makes sense. And that works for me because that saves their power for when it's really needed.Just installed them in my shed today, and waited til twilight, and again after dark, to go test them out, and they lit the shed very well both times when I stepped in, and turned off shortly after I left. A+I only used the provided set up - sticky tabs holding a metal plate to the crossbeams (which should stay there permanently) Then the lights stick on with magnets. Easy to pull off/put on for charging. Easy to charge (will label the usb cord!). Great light.Wondering how they'll stand up to heat/cold/humidity from being in a shed. I can imagine the sticky tabs might lose their grip over time? (tabs are only on bare wood in my shed) so I've placed bubble wrap beneath them for tonight 😂 just in case. Will take suggestion on here to add metal to the beam if the tabs fails. Hopefully the lights themselves stay strong and work for years to come! Very pleased I took others' advice and gave them a shot! Thanks community 😊 I also recommend them, and won't hesitate to buy more if needed.

Perfect for replacing under cabinet lights easily. Great nite light for our children and task lighting for cooking and prep. Easy installation.

These are so easy and work like a charm. The motion activation is great and even though I have these lights under a shelf in my pantry, they light up every time you walk in. Meaning, you don’t have to wave your hand or walk past them, they know you’re coming! They’re also magnetic, which is perfect in our DIY pantry remodel. We covered or metal shelves with wooden ones, and these attached to the metal right underneath the wood. I am going to get more for each shelf now that I know how cool they are. They also have a gold light- not led- white which I prefer. Not sure how long they will last until they need to be recharged but they’re pretty awesome so I’m sure it’s worth it

I installed two of these under cabinet in a wet bar area in a newly renovated basement space. The brightness level is perfect for that application. The magnet mount made installation absurdly easy, and makes it similarly easy to remove them for charging when needed. To that end, in motion sensing mode the lights last for about two weeks before needing a charge - charging takes only a few hours using any USB adapter you have lying around. Just pull them off the magnet base, plug them in overnight, then reattach them to the magnet base the next morning. I can't comment as to the battery longevity when left in "constant on" mode, as I've never used them that way.The only reason I took a star away is that the motion sensing is a little finicky. Sometimes they come on when the dog walks within four feet of the wet bar. At other times (not always), they *don't* come on when I walk right up to the bar and turn on the sink. However, they generally come on when I need them, even if they often come on when I don't.Given the ease of installation and long battery life, though, I'm generally happy with the purchase. If they refined the motion sensing a bit to be more precise, it would be a solid five-star product.

So far this has been working really well. I picked the warm light option and also love the auto vs on/off function and also that brightness is variable. I had small round cabinet lights but these had to be charged all the time. I am pleased with these lights. Time will tell how they hold up for at this point, I am pleased.

I looked at so many of these types of lights and finally decided on these. They were super easy to install under the cabinets. They are thin and sleek. I was looking for a simple, low-cost solution to undercabinet lighting.The motion detection works… But my issue is that the light only stays on for about 20 seconds. Seems like you have to be practically jumping up and down constantly for the motion detector to stay active and keep the light on. While washing dishes they go on and off constantly which is aggravating... and the lights are installed right by the sink under the cabinets.I was looking for a light that would stay on while I was in the kitchen washing dishes or fixing a cup of coffee. Sometimes I will just turn the switch to on while I’m working in the kitchen so that the lights stay on consistently...but then I forget to them off when I’m done and end up running the charge down quickly. They are definitely not meant to stay on for hours unless you plan to charge them every day.For what I was looking for I was probably expecting too much out of these lights. I will probably have to go to a plug in/power cord option for a more permanent and constant lighting solution.If you are looking for a simple motion detector light and don’t need it to stay on for more than 20 seconds (e.g., closet/stairway/pantry), these would be a good option. They come with little stickers and magnets and so far they are holding securely and easy to remove and reinstall for charging.
