Center finder
I bought this as a replacement of a different brand that I bought from Amazon and it has worked perfectly. The ruler locks easily into place by the four locking screws. It's made from Aluminum and the machining is spot on.I would definitely buy this one again if I needed another one.

Perfect tool for the price.
Very well built, dead on accuracy. One reviewer stated to tighten the lower screws first - he was correct, if you don't it will skew a little off. After putting it together, I checked with my reference squares and it was dead on to 90 degrees, which you need to accurately find center on any circular object.I bought a similar one from Temu and it never worked properly, always off center and Temu's was about the same price as this one and poorly constructed. One reviewer complained that it only had metric measurements - either he received bad one or he didn't look at the other side. This has centimeters on one side and Inches on the other.I will probably buy more for family members who do a lot of wood working and other household projects.

Useful Tool, But Could Use Instructions
The DDWT Center Finder Line Gauge Square Center Scribe Carpenter Woodworking Ruler works well for finding center lines and marking precise measurements. The quality of the material is solid, and it provides accurate results for woodworking tasks. However, I found it a bit tricky to use at first because it didn’t come with clear instructions on how to properly utilize all of its features.Once I figured it out, it made my projects much easier, but a small guide or instructions would have been helpful for those new to this type of tool. Despite that, it’s a great addition to any woodworking toolkit, and I’m pleased with its performance overall.

Works perfectly if set up correctly
I was a little uncertain with purchasing this when I saw the rationale for the few negative reviews. But, the problem is likely that they did not set up the device properly. When attaching the ruler and tightening the screws down, tighten the bottom set FIRST (the ones in my photo next to the Allen wrench) and then tighten the top ones. If you do the reverse the ruler will skew a little and your center will be off. Works perfectly and would buy again. The second image shows 10" and 12" cake pans.

Ingenious tool that I did not know I needed.
I bought this to mark the center of some cans. Its sturdy and well made. I had tried a few other solutions, but none of them worked 100%. I needed to drill holes in the end of some cans to turn them into lamps. This worked great - nice and quick with no errors.

Another Tool Lottery
I bought the “new version” of this tool and while it looks to be “trued up”; it’s not.I took several different size discs and seated them firmly within the tool and made sure to accurately draw my scribe line. Turn the disc 45 degrees and repeat, then and then turn the disc 22.5 degrees (roughly) and repeat. Nope, the scribe lines do not line up in the center of the scribes.I even took a 2” cap and measured 1” to the center and placed a dot from a sharpie. Theoretically, you should be able to turn the cap 45 degrees and 1” in it should be spot on that dot. Nope, not on the tool I got.The further out you get in a larger diameter, the worst it gets, but it’s still too far off on a 2” cap.I’m now sending this one back to Amazon and I will try another one. Should it not work, I’ll spend $29.00 on the woodpecker’s site and buy an American made one and try it. It would have been worth my time in money to have just tried the Woodpecker’s version (assuming it’s accurate) than go through all of the time to order, check it out and then repack it back up to send the Amazon Chinese made tool back.I’m glad that it has worked for so many people, but obviously they are not all “trued” in their precision, hence the “tool lottery” I mention. Honestly, the price isn’t that much different from the Woodpecker’s site.Cheers
