Calico Critters Lakeside Lodge

My daughter loves these and often plays with them and she has a lot of them. I don't think I've ever heard her remark on how totally cute one is until she opened this one (she's five and kind of takes it for granted because yeah they're all cute lol but she made a note of how cute this one was). And I have to agree it's super cute and although the price fluctuates, if you watch the price and buy it when it's at the low side it does turn out to be a great value.Overall Calico Critters are adorable and well-made toys, and one of the things I really love to play with along with my daughter. I'd have thought I'd died and gone to heaven if they'd have had these when I was a little girl!

The Calico Critters, or AKA Sylvanian Families, have been in our home for a long time. I kept some of them from 1988, which I bought for my daughter when she was 5. She is now 36 and her daughter also loved playing with them when I pulled them out of the garage. I was so happy to discover they are still being made! We have several families of them and i recently bought the Lakeside Lodge. I have 2 granddaughters now and both of them love to play with Calico Critters, dress and undress them, make-believe stories about them, etc. Definitely one of my favorite kid toys!

Bought this because it was a really great deal on cyber Monday and I loved these little figures and sets when I was little. I wasn’t sure if my 2 year old daughter was ready for it yet and was going to hold onto it until her 3rd birthday but we ended up giving it to her for Christmas. She loves it! And surprisingly my 7 year old son and 4 year old son also like it and they all play nicely together. Just a note: I did not let her have all the tiny accessory pieces that come with this set (plates, food, etc) I put them in a box to save for when she’s a bit older if she is still playing with this in a couple years.

Another home run for the Calico Critters. This little lodge is awesome. My kids love it and it was the perfect little addition to the small town I pretty much bought them for Christmas. As I've said in my other reviews of this product it's handy to have a tube of super glue while assembling the pieces. Some of the connections are loose and this way pieces won't be lost during play. I'm very happy with the Calico products and would highly recommend them. They are super cute.

My 6 year old has my big, wooden dollhouse from childhood and several Calico Critters families and furniture. She wanted this log cabin/lodge for her birthday. As with other Calico Critters items, it's pricey for the size, but she enjoys it. She can fit either a small table/chairs in it, and a little bed or couch, but it's not big enough for kitchen furniture, table, and couch to easily fit. The little deck & Hot tub/shower is cute, but just slides over the doorstep, it would be nice if it could hook onto something to keep in place easier. Overall, cute set and my daughter is quite happy with it.

Great value for money spent! These Calico Critters have dropped significantly in price, they’re actually affordable now. My 9 year old daughter loves these tiny things, so beware it does come with tiny pieces. We use ziplock bags to maintain it all in between play times. This comes with a car and the dining set and other pieces so it has quite a bit to play with. It doesn’t take up much room at all and the pieces could fit inside the house, maybe the car could too! Dogs tend to love the critters as well; two different dogs chewed up different critters, so keep out of reach of dogs! Must smell or taste good to them!

I love this, and the little van is adorable. I did open it in advance of gifting and assembled all of the little stuff. It has some small pieces (silverware, plates, glasses) etc. that need to be separated from a little plastic frame, and there is also some stickers for the van headlights etc. I recommend you do the same before you gift it and it will save some time!

This cottage is one of the most charming of all doll houses. It is small so no need to buy expensive furniture. It has hammocks so you can get away with buying beds. It has a porch (that connects to a tree house - separate item) and a porch that could be used in front or on the side. The porch converts to the cutest little batch area complete with shower (Jacuzzi type) and it is really, really charming.
