This is the only dry food my Bichon Frise will eat. The pieces are the perfect size for her. This size bag lasts about 3 months, depending on how much human food she can sneak in.

Great ingredients for our dog’s health

My picky husky will go to her bowl and paw for more, haha. She loves this kibble and that's not been the case for all kibbles with her. My vet also said he approves of this food and that he feels its a great quality food for dogs. Its got healthy grains which we want, grain free can be harmful to many dogs (excluding those w/grain allergies). My husky has been on this kibble for 4 years and she is in perfect health at 7 years old. Its a little pricy but worth it, I believe in feeding my dog good food, not cheap crap.

I can't comment much on the flavor, other than my dog seems to like it. 🤣🤣🤣 I have been feeding him Instinct for a while now, preferring limited ingredient because of the reduced reoccurrence of his allergies and the benefit of near zero flatulence. But I don't like that they use peas as a filler in the absence of grain (studies seem to implicate abundance of peas or legumes - but especially peas - in the diet of larger dogs can lead to an increased risk of heart disease. When I adopted my dog, he was heartworm positive. I don't want to potentially add any additional burden to his heart . Since his grain-free ran out, I thought I would try this recipe containing oats, millet, and barley to see how he does. The jury is still out on that and I'm not a big fan of grains (though far better than peas). But, other than the grains, which are 3rd or 4th on the ingredient list, I have zero concerns or omplaints about the ingredients list. Especially important too, since my dog is allergic to chicken, is that there is no trace of chicken of any kind. Instinct is one of few high quality brands that don't add chicken meal, fat, or anything else to every recipe.

Dogs love it

Our dog is a picky eater. We usually have to add broth or table scraps to his food. But he devours this food without anything added. The ingredients also appear to be high quality.

I feel like I’ve gone through every dog food imaginable for my chiweenie and this seems to be the winner! She’s extremely picky and eats the freeze dried pieces first and takes her precious time eating the rest of the kibble, but I’ll call it a win because she will actually eat it…eventually. Her poop smells really bad afterwards, but small price to pay for something she actually enjoys! I purchased a separate bag of just the freeze dried pieces to reward her for eating all of her food.
