Better than vectra 3d!
Suddenly this year I noticed a week after putting vectra3d on one of my dogs he was getting ticks all over. I took one off his lip, head and lower abdomen that now looks like a bullseye and I know dogs don't usually get them but vet saw the pic and said yup let's start doxy immediately. I put the Amazon flea and tick on 2 weeks after the vectra and I'd actually used it while waiting for the vectra 3d to be delivered and both times I've used. It NOT 1 TICK ON EITHER DOG. And my newly adopted terrier mix gets his head deep into tick infested areas and runs through brush where he'd always going to be highly exposed to them so it's incredibly important to have a flea and tick product that works and this has worked better than any other product I've tried in the 20 years I've had dogs of my own.

no fleas but dogs scratching even more now
4 stars because I haven't seen any fleas after applying. I bought it thinking the itching was due to flea allergy but now I think my dogs may possibly be allergic or sensitive to the topical because my dogs scratch more now than before using the product . I most likely won't repurchase or reapply.

extremely effective on ticks and fleas
the product is non-greasy, dries quickly, and if I keep my dogs out of the river for 48 hrs after application, it remains extremely effective against ticks for a minimum of a month, and ticks are my big concern due to all the bacterial organisms they carry (Lyme, Anaplas, Ehrlichiosis, etc) - permethrin is the key to killing ticks, and this product offers that - here in northern Wisconsin ticks are a huge problem, and I am always very happy to see dead ticks on the couch or floor that have fallen off the dogs, typically not even slightly engorged - the Border Collies are very difficult to find deer ticks on due to their coats so it means a lot to me to know, with confidence, a tick preventative product is working - a huge pro for me is this product does not get absorbed systemically like some topical, and all oral, products do - I don't want to be giving my dogs a ticket to cancer with systemic treatments - that is a deal-breaker for me - other pros, tho not deal-breakers, are the product dries quickly and is not greasy, has a mild odor but not terribly offensive until it dries, seems pretty "waterproof" (i.e. remains effective even with daily swims as long as the dogs do not swim for 48 hours after application), and finally, this preventative treatment is affordable - it is not, however, a repellent of mosquitoes as it claims to be, but mosquitoes are horrendous this year - overall, an affordable five-star product IMO that keeps my dogs safe -

Buyer Beware!!!
Beware pet parent/s!!! … this product caused my dog to have seizures. She is a seizure girl anyway but this has caused her to have 4 seizures (that I’ve witnessed, who knows how many when I’m sleeping and/or gone) since the application only 2 days ago. I’m very, very worried and concerned about her health and safety. I hope that it will leave her system soon. Her doctor said that it’s probably too late to try and wash it off (I’m going to give her a bath anyway and more than likely trigger another seizure). He’s increased her phenobarbital for a week, I hope that it will see her through this rough patch. I’m so dismayed and disappointed … they need to put a label warning for pets who are prone to seizures. I thought that I had thoroughly done the research in finding something that would both work and be affordable. No thank you Amazon and your defective product. I’m going back to Frontline+, I may however just go to a collar, at least with that I can remove the irritant immediately and not have to witnesses and be distraught over my dog’s health and safety.

So so
This was the second time ordering this product. The first time it worked well getting rid of the fleas and keeping them off between doses. This time it really didn’t work that well, not sure why. I will try a second dose if it doesn’t work this will be the last time I buy this product.

Money
Why spend extra when basics works well above basic it will gets dem fleas gone and saves money and did not bother my old dog or my 7 yr dog unless you consider removing fleas a bother....now i did take a 4 prone advance 1)vaccume beddin and prepare area 2) gave pill to quickly remove fleas 3) bathe dog 4)keep dry next day and then when dry apply product....been 3 weeks and no fleas..thats better than basic....but it worked just as good as brand name...hope this helps.

Perfect Dupe!
I didn't realize that many monthly flea/tick treatments don't actually repel ticks; they kill they within 24 hours of bite. Um, how about not biting at all???? This stuff is supposed to repel all. Weirdly huge packaging for this product but seems to work great and only has a slight smell initially until dry. Soooo much cheaper than at the Vet or any brand name
