DAP Tank Bond Liquid Grip, .2 Oz (7079800177)

I wish i would have found this product much sooner. It definitely helps in keeping screws from stripping or at removing stripped screws. This thing would have saved me hours of time had I found it sooner.

- I had a stripped screw that wasnt completely stripped but my screwdriver was slipping every time and it wouldve gotten worse. Decided to stop and try this instead and I was surprised it actually worked really well. Its a viscous fluid with crunchy metallic bits and it actually does help a lot with grip.- I imagine this could help with even worse stripped screws but for extreme cases I think its 50/50- The tube is about 3 inches in length and I swear half of it is just air. I wish they gave you more. I wanted to give this 3.5 stars because of the amount they give you.

Had my doubts b4 using it to work with stripped screws or ultra hard wood installs.It was miraculous! Half a drop and the screwdriver's grip was 5x stronger. Not one failure. Started to use it preemptively when doing a project of multiple screws that you know will be problematic... This avoids the stripping from the get go.I have already re-ordered my 2d tube because it works so well.

Absolutely waste of money. The tube is filled with air, nothing comes out of it. I have to squeeze the tube to all the way to the nozzle for a tiny drop to come out.

Gripped so hard that the driver didn’t want to disengage from the screw I put into the wall. Works like a dream. I sometimes apply it on a fresh screw before I begin driving it into a wall just to ensure the screw and driver don’t slip.

I am putting together a solid pine dresser flatpack. I am a short old mom with diminishing hand strength and an overload of determination. I don't have any helpers and only modest tools and a crap drill. Some of the pieces had predrilled holes and I could handle those pretty easily with a screwdriver until my hand started to get sore. Also, the ones that are angle-set I could only drive the screw maybe halfway before the screwdriver would slip and I was worried the head would strip. Plus my hand was very sore on those and starting to form a blister.I was too far into the project to scrap it and it's too expensive to hire someone so I had to figure this out. I watched a YouTube that showed this tank weld and another video that greased their screws or the pilot hole. I did both of those hacks....WAY better and more successful! Certain angles are still a little tough but still sooo much better. I applied the tank weld right upfront if the angle was bad. Didn't wait to almost strip the head. It works better if you use just enough and not flood the indention.I took one star away because the tube is small and plastic and the liquid shoots out if you aren't careful. I don't think theres much product in ther either. It's kind of a thin gel (?) with metal bits suspended in it. It doesn't exactly dry or get hard. I just used my finger to wipe it up and prep a few screw heads.Someone stronger or with a proper drill/driver wouldn't need to use this product except in those nearly stripped situations. I don't know how it would do on a fully stripped head. I could see it not being effective in some situations. The key is to pay attention and use this before it gets that bad. I will definitely keep some of this on hand. And greasing the screws is brilliant! I didn't have machine grease so I used a little WD40 i had on hand. The screws went in like butter. My sore hand is appreciative. Highly recommend including these as part of a toolbox gift for new homeowners and novice weekend warriors.

It works. But not alot in tube.The tube is deceiving, there's less then a dime size amount in it.I used this for 8 very small screw heads and i was almost out.If u need this for just a few small screws then u should be fine. If u have a big job or have big screws or many screws then buy more then one tube, buy accordingly because there's not much in the tube at all.Good thing is that it did work for me and helped a little bit, just enough to grip some stripped Allen head screws and get them out and replaced with regular screws.Hope this helps someone
