I have used the pen maybe 3 or 4 times and it does not work anymore. It is very sturdy and seems like it would be a good tool for first responders if only the ink would last. I would recommend getting a window punch and pen separate. It seems easier and cheaper when your ink runs out.

I love that this product is both a pen and a defensive tool. It looks a lot more like just a pen. When I showed it to my passenger, he thought it was just a pen. Surprisingly, it writes well. The blank ink doesn’t smear, and the pen tip glides smoothly on paper. I honestly have to say I was confused at first on how to get this pen work but once I understood that you have to remove the top of the pen in order to get to the real pen. Very great tool to have if you ever need to defend yourself. It is sharp and pointed but not too much. It is an everyday item that can be concealed as you carry it because it's a pen. I was able to use the tool to open a few boxes and cut through a piece of paper. I loved it. Initially I thought what kind of review can you write about a PEN - I mean really - it's a PEN! Well folks I've got something to say about this pen.First, it has a really nice weight to it. The pen has texture so it's easy to grip even in wet conditions and it feels good in my hand. It's not a cheap-feeling pen. I would think this would make an excellent gift for a guy. It's not very girly, but it works.When in my car I frequently need a pen for something and because it is a glass breaker too, the glove compartment would be the perfect place for this. The glass breaker is on one end and the other end has a screw top where the pen is located.The pocket clip on this thing is incredibly sturdy - zero chance of it slipping off. The nylon pouch seems to be made very sturdy as well. The snap is thick, not one of those flimsy cheap ones. The pouch also comes with a belt loop on the back.As for the actual pen, the ink started flowing almost immediately (see the photo) and when it did it was smooth writing. The ink is black.So, for a pen this do-dad has a lot going for it. I like it a lot.This pen/glass breaker was provided for testing and review with no guarantee of a favorable review.

The Tactical Pen Sharp Tip Defensive Tool by Ozbourn is well built and comes with a Nylon Pouch. The pen function works great as others brands I had problems with the ink. I keep mine in the car just in case of an emergency. You can use it to break the windows or as a sleek defense tool to fight someone off. Purchased same pen minus the sheath on eBay for $5. At that price would highly recommend. At the $15-20 price range, even with the sheath, I think you can do better. Would be nice if it where longer and cap either screwed or snapped onto other end when using the pen.
