These chess men look just like the picture, I bought it to decorate a room in my house that came with unfortunate nautical themed wallpaper I don't want to replace and because I like that the knights are dolphins and sharks.The chess board itself is a printed sticker on the box, which is very deep and easily accommodates the pieces.The inside of the box has a red velvet mat on each side and the men are just loose to bounce around. The paint and lacquer quality is good, the blue king had a scuff but it's in an inconspicuous place and under the lacquer so it wasn't a result of shipping. They technically have some kind of thin fabric glued to the bottoms but it's pretty insignificant, I may add my own cork or felt bases if I decide to play with them and not just use them for decoration.Very cute set, should cheer up the nautical themed room nicely. Shipped direct from Belarus which was also charming.
