Brilliant device but requires negative time zone setting
IMPORTANT: for the US at least the time zone must be a negative value e.g. -04:00 for Eastern Daylight Time. Brilliant device but dropped one for poor User Guide. (originally set to +20:00 and hours sat on 23, would go from 23:59 to 23:00, just happened to notice could go below zero).Once calibrated, device syncs before out of driveway and self-contained reflector eliminates ghosting on laminated windscreen. Very visible even in bright Florida sun and rated for 85C/185F for a hot dash. Compact design with no extraneous bars and graphics just speed, time, and compass.

Good but could be better
Had it for about two months now using it on my RV to help with keeping my eyes forward while driving. It seem to work fairly well although a bit it does not hold the speed consistently like full sized Garmin. Which is to say it tends to bounce back and forth on the displayed numbers when compared with my other units. I feel a lot of that has to do with the GPS receiver built into the unit , maybe if they added a larger antenna it would calm it down a bit. So for general reference to speed and keeping you looking out the front window it seems to be a good product for that stated purpose

Mostly useless - but could be very nice.
Great device if more common sense had been applied to it.The directions were hard to read and incomplete. Finally contacted the MFR by e-mail for more info. When powering the unit up, it always defaults to the time. So each time it is turned on, one has to go into the 3 way switch and try to get the time switched back to altitude. The 3 position switch is hard to make work correctly - a lot of fiddling around when all I want to do is to go.The altitude was way out of calibration. Then I discovered it reads in Meters, not feet. This is a waste in the US where everything is in feet. The M on the mountain icon means Meters, not Mountain. The only fix for that is to cover up the altitude with a piece of black tape. The speed is selectable to MPH which is good (why not altitude?).The speed indicated way low. The MFR had to explain that there is a calibration option in the menu which is normally set to 100%. Why is it not permanently set to 100%? Why should a user ever have to calibrate the speed? The GPS has that ability. The speed limit alarm has to be manually set each time one enters a different speed zone (impossible when driving). This speed limit alarm lights a red light when exceeding the speed which is fine. But it also has an audible alarm which drives one nuts when drifting in and out + or - 1 MPH. So the speed limiter is useless. But, the speed indicator and compass works ok.

Nice novelty
The suction cups for the reflective screen is a good idea except for the fact that I still can see a double reflection because the film is not absolutely against the glass. I will probably end up putting the screen on the holder, which is a good idea too, and move the unit further away from the windshield on the dash. I'll also put a piece of black paper on the other side of the film so the numbers don't shine thru and still show on the windshield. The other issue I have is that the altitude display has be be set each time it starts, the default is the time display. I would add another star if it remembered my setting and showed altitude upon startup. Also, the speed calculation is just a bit delayed behind my normal GPS. It's best not to use it if you accelerate quickly, otherwise, you will find yourself speeding. All in all, I'm thinking it's just a bit overpriced for the value.

Not a good purchase........
Missing instructions. Plugged into lighter and it blew all tha acc fuses, and the unit flickered until dead. (Repaired fuses) Put it on the bench 12VDC supply and it came up. BUT the adapter is the problem and it will not stay seated. The 12VDC plug to the unit does not fit solid and any movement causes loss of power and re-boots.The time is VERY hard to set. The compass reads 90 or 180 degrees off charted course. Unit runs hot also for a GPS.Must be a first generation unit or I got a returned defective unit that was re-sold to me.I might get the power rewired with a direct cord and that may solve some problems. The compass error shold not be a problem since GPS can resolve this with 4 Bars of signal reception, which it has. If I had instructions, there may be a way to set it, IDK. Time is an auto function of GPS and it makes no sense to have to set the time. Poor software.Thinking of returning, but cannot get thru to Amazon to just send instructions. They want a full return and shipping is a major problem since it tool a week to recieve, even with PRIME.Will road test later and may update with solutions if Amazon responds.
