So cool
I bought this for my brother as a Christmas gift and he loves it. It was complicated enough that is wasn’t an “easy” build but also wasn’t impossible. I will say the orbit is a little slower than I thought it would be but it is pretty accurate to how the earth actually orbits the sun. Its really cool and I would totally buy it again

Good Quality Bricks
The bricks in this set are as good as the real Legos, but a FRACTION of the cost.Once put together the mechanism that rotates the earth and moon operates smoothly. This doesn’t feel like a chintzy knockoff. Kids loved putting it together and using it to learn more about the solar system.

You get what you pay for
This kit is a knockoff of JK Brickwork's Sun-Earth-Moon Orrery ( https://jkbrickworks.com/earth-moon-and-sun-orrery/). It is so identical that I used JK Brickworks' plan to do the build (JK's plan is much clearer than the enclosed instructions by Vonado). The good about the Vonado kit: (1) for $42 you get all the parts (2) the orrery works as advertised. The bad about the Vonado kit (1) Compared to Lego parts, the Vonado parts are not as well crafted and the plastic looks thin and cheap (2) while the orrery does work, it feels flimsy and there is a lot of resistance when turning the crank. I actually built the JK Brickwork's orrery last summer and I can attest that using Lego parts will give you a much better and heftier orrery. That said, using Lego parts will also double the price. I was planning on using the Vonado Orrery for science outreach with kids, but I'm just afraid it won't stand up to the abuse. If you are planning on using this for a single child, it should be okay. I recommend using the plans written by JK Brickworks when you are building this (link is above). Even though it is not Lego quality, I'll give the Vonado Orrery kit a rating of 4 stars because it's affordable and it works.

Great!
I like this version the best however the planets are more fragile.

Perfect learning add on for eclipse
We traveled for the annular eclipse, camping for a few days. This was a fun set to build with kids (3 and 6yr old) as we learned differences of lunar phases and solar eclipse. My 6yr old didn't have much issue building the set even thought it was rated for older kids. Youngest helped with the sun and earth, they both continue to play with it at home now too.You may want to glue the sun and earth, the size/weight make them prone to falling. We glued them as we built so its still a sphere. We still need to glue them to the heat base so it stops falling off.

Nice mechanical model of sun, earth and moon
This is a cute litle model of the Earth, moon, and sun. After a bit of trial and error, I got the model completed. Turning the little crank on the side moves the gears in various ways so that the sun turns, and the earth and moon revolve and rotate.

If you don't want it to move then 5 stars
Yeah just a little sad, missing parts, parts don't fit. In a few cases, parts don't really fit right together and that is they way they are supposed to sit.... Really odd. Looks fine so long as it does not have to move

Great product !
My son needed to show the Earth rotation for a school project so he built it himself. He struggled a bit with the globe building but finally was done and it was impressive !
