Excellent for the price. I bought the 927-I-STNovice solderers should beware though: the Temperature dial is pure marketing gimmick. It should simply read Low-High rather than 392-896.It has absolutely zero ability to regulate temperature. I find setting it to abot '600' and then waiting around 2 minutes gives me a reasonably stable 700 degrees perfect for PCB work.Better to let the torch head slowly, if you crank it up to use the 'heats in seconds' feature, you will likely have problems overshooting your temperature target and maintaining the heat for actual solderingIt will shoot past your temperature target after more than a few minutes of running; so the real temperature control is the sponge.I don't consider any of this as negative though; for 30 bucks this is a fantastic bare bones soldering station. Was able to build a high end condenser microphone; do precision PCB work using this soldering station.If you take the time to practice and learn the way this station puts out and builds up heat and don't rely on the temperature setting, it will perform just fine.

Great little rig, heats up fast, stays very consistent. It stays on for at least 8 hours a day, had it for over a month now and it works great. I didn't get the one with the digital temp display or sleep mode, I don't need those options, just needed a solid, consistent iron and i like this more than my weller.I came in one morning, turned it on and a few minutes later had a horrible smell in our assembly room. I started looking around and it was my soldering Iron. There was no smoke or fire or sparks, nothing dangerous but the handle had melted and bent so the heating element was melting the inside of the iron. I turned it off and it was shot. Done! I was really disappointed because I solder for hours and hours at a time every day, I have to totally pro soldering stations, one of them is a really expensive weller station and I like this one more.I got home, got on amazon and sent a message to the manufacturer. The next morning, I had an email from them asking for my name and ship to address. A few days later a whole new station showed up with my UPS man. I was very pleased and surprised at that. I messaged them back, thanked them for the excellent customer service and the new one is still going strong. I am usually not real hot on chinese made stuff, especially these days with that crap they pulled with this virus mess... but that has nothing to do with the soldering iron people.I would buy this again from this seller / company in a heart beat.

This review is for the WEP 927-IV-ST-MHH with the double display and the bells and whistles.Over all a nice station. It does have limitations though.The temperature control purports to show the set temp and the tip temp. It does not. The displayed tip temp follows the set temp up to set point by just a few seconds and indicates the desired tip temp is reached. It is not even close. The tip takes a typical much longer period to heat up. So while the digital display is nice the tip temp portion of the display is a joke or gimmick.I like the lighted magnifier and the helping hands. Thought it would be much nicer if they were just a few inches longer.The sponge could easily be twice as thick.The 3 user selectable preset heat ranges are a nice feature and easy to use.The brass tip cleaner with flux at the bottom of the can is a nice feature.The additional provided tips are good and this should be considered in the products value. It would be better if the base incorporated mounting holes to hold the extra tips just to keep them together.The solder reel holder relies on the weight of the solder to hold the axle in place but so far it works nice but my spool is over half full. We will see.I do like the unit overall but as I said the double function display is a joke at best so I suggest you ignore that function in making a purchase decision.Jay

I got two of these one for my garage and one for home and it works great. Heats REALLY quick. No more waiting for solder iron to heat up. Literally seconds and it is ready. LED lets you know when it is heated up. Temperature controls work well. Like the stand and the cleaner. Great value and nice to have a good soldering iron.

Not only has the product worked quite well since I purchased the unit (April 2018) the heating element wore out recently, I couldn't find a replacement so the seller has sent two at no charge. Unfortunately they weren't the correct ones, but when I reached out again they offered to send a new unit and look into sending another pair of elements for my "inconvenience" (zero inconvenience stuff wears out and I get that, and their response was VERY prompt)Not only did the product work quite well but the customer service was phenomenal

awesome unit and great value I had a small handheld soldering iron that just did not get hot enough this one brings up the heat and quick plus the convenient wire tip cleaner and the wet pad are a great addition to this soldering iron kit I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a great soldering iron at a great price!

Great price, nice assortment of tips. Works like a charm. My favorite part is that the cord from the iron to the body is very floppy so I dont knock the item over onto the floor as I reached for the wire and create a burn in the carpet last month.
