Works great, worth the price
This tool magically files down the raker tooth at the same time you sharpen the cutting tooth. Up until recently, I had underestimated the effect of a proud raker tooth. It's tricky to file a raker tooth free handed or even with a Dremel, but this file holder works great.I also like the Stihl files. They seem to cut better than the Oregon files I usually use.

A must have tool
I bought a new MS-500i chainsaw. It’s a monster. After a few days I had dulled the blade (my fault). I sharpened it with this tool 91 cutting teeth. Was easy and now the saw cuts like a monster again. But watch a YouTube video about how to sharpen your chain properly with this device. Way less effort than I had expended before with better results. It cuts the depth gauge at the same time to the proper depth. I had 5 chains sharpened by my local dealer and they didn’t touch the depth gauges. They didn’t cut worth a c…p.

Sharpened my chain like new in 20 minutes!
I am not a professional but have been using chainsaws since I was 12 years old gathering wood for my family to heat our house. Now at 41 years old I use a chainsaw regularly to cut logs into various shapes for woodturning.I have struggled knowing the best way to sharpen a chain most of my life but do recognize the difference between a properly sharpened chain, a new chain, and a dull chain. After watching a handful of video reviews and instructional videos I was easily able to use this system and understand its value as a 2-in-1. It is also very important to assure the chain is at the correct tension and I found it helpful to lock the chain and sharpen three or four teeth then unlock it and move to the next batch. I was able to sharpen my poulan pro 20-in bar 72 tooth chain in right around 20 minutes. The results are amazing! I didn't realize I needed to do both actions to properly sharpen a chain and this tool does them at the same time.Clamping the bar in a bench vise greatly enhances your ability to easily use this tool with both hands. It is somewhat challenging to do with one hand and much less effective. I will never use any other sharpening system as long as I live.

Could not be easier.
I’m sure there are people out there that could pick up any file and sharpen a chain to new specs. I am not one of those people. This really simplifies the process. First time, took me about 10 minutes. Highly recommend. Bought more for other saws.

All I can say is "WOW"
So I have been sharpening my Stilh 3/8 chains for 15 years.....After I stopped paying a lot to have them professionally shapened because they took to much metal resulting in short chain life or the teeth got so hot the became "heat treated". I have 2 Stihl sharpening systems which work well......the one that clamps onto the bar with angle adjustment has been my mainstay for the past decade. That said I still have to sepertaly file the rakers.I bought this after reading the reviews. I live in upstate NY and have dead Ash trees due to the Asian Ash Boarer. I heat with wood (brutal winters) and have a maple syrup operation that burns another 10 cords firewood, s I cut a lot of wood annually. The trees range from 10" to 60" in diameter....so some big stuff. I got the sharpener on Saturday and did my first sharpening that afternoon. When I started to cut I was amazed at the chip size of the cuttings and the speed at which I cut through the hardwood ash logs.....It was nothing short of amazing. I have never had my Stihl perform so well.On a whim I changed the chain to a brand new one out of the box A Stihl factory fresh chain just to see if my sharpening was a fluke ....While it ate through the wood as expected It did not perform as well as my used chain sharpened with this new file system. So I sharpened the new chain with the new file chainsaw sharpener and cutting was improved....It cut like my used chain. Stihl came up with a big winner.....Thus my continued faith in Stihl as the best. BTY I have two used Stihl chainsaw sharpening systems available for sale but this new file system is staying!
