Perfect for making impossible decals.
Transfer paper used to create decals for model boats. Overall really easy to use, creating really clear decals. Functionally good but decal can be a little bit delicate so may need clear coating afterwards. Excellent value for money.

Top Quality Laserjet Decal Paper
I used a sheet of this paper to make custom decals for a set of 1:2500 Star Trek models. They're about five inches long when built. At this scale the carrier film around the printed details can be very obvious. But the film was surprisingly thin with this paper. After a couple of coats of DecalFix & varnish it has pretty much disappeared entirely. Despite this the decals proved reasonably tough, were easy to work with & didn't fold or tear. Very impressed.

Print your own decals.
Worked fine for me. Print, moisten with water and slide the transfer onto my model. Seemed to work quite adequately as is, but after a little experimentation I found that a layer of matt varnish on top of the decal before application and using a decal setting solution e.g Micro Sol gave excellent results, every bit as good as decals that come with a regular model kit.One thing that I did not appreciate is that white areas on a design effectively become transparent when printed on any kind of regular CMYK toner equipped printer. I know that it is possible to buy white transfer paper and trim carefully, or I need to pre colour the background where the decal is to be applied, but like any technique it's a learning process...I did a test piece using some local playground graffiti and an old airplane wing from the "big box of bits". It doesn't look like much, except to demonstrate that I got this product to work.

Worst Waterslide Decal Paper
I've used waterslide decals for a fair few years and have tried many different brands, some wrinkle more freely than others, some need slightly warmer water - they're all different. Hayes Waterslide Decal Paper is likely the worst I've used, leaving it in water for 30, 60, 120, 180 seconds does nothing. It just leaves you with nicely printed clingfilm that doesn't slide off the backer and with that being a key component of water*SLIDE* decal paper it's quite a disappointment.

Very stable transfers that don't mess up and dissolve
Bought to put some print on a one-off painted metal panel. Tried many other waterslide laser papers, and all wrinkled up no matter how hard you tried. Not saying these are easy - you need to develop some form of technique - but the Hayes actually worked. To get the transparent edges to disappear requires a coating of Mod Podge - several in fact.
