Ignore all the negative reviews. This is a flagship dashcam and performs as such!
The video quality both day and night is fantastic. I have the 622GW running 4k30fps in the front and the rear window camera in the rear at 1080p30fps. Both are clear and sharp, especially the front one at 4k. Number plates and signs are easily read. The enhanced night vision mode which the camera automatically switches to when needed is brilliant. The polarised filter on the front is also a huge bonus.I'm impressed at how well it just works out of the box, parking mode is perhaps my only complaint with it saving a locked file every single time I get in the car as the g sensor is overly sensitive however with a 128gb card, you can just format it every month or week to stop the locked files filling up your card and I'd rather it too sensitive and not recording when someone hits my car gently enough to cause damage but not activate many other dashcams. The hardwire kit is a must for me, the battery of the camera has so far performed very well however with tit being constantly charged and discharged I can't see this being the case forever so I think it's worth the piece of mind to hardwire it to your car's battery. The camera takes good quality photos even at speed which is also nice, possibly a handy feature for some though I can't think of any situation I'd use it as I'd prefer a video or would just screenshot the video for a still image. The mic is good, perhaps a little quieter than some cameras but it's clear and road noise isn't bad at all, it picked up my horn, voice and other horns and such within reasonable distance of the car. Remember you are in a sound insulated box of metal on wheels so don't expect miracles. The speed and GPS readings built into the camera is brilliant. They overly nicely into the bottom of videos alongside your number plate and camera model.I've not used the app much but it's worked flawlessly when I have. Downloading videos via WiFi was very quick and easy as was live view mode and watching back videos showing telemetry and map location data. The camera has never crashed except when I removed the SD card without stopping the camera recording which is honestly expected and a simple reboot instantly fixed it. I was also pleased to find the only video that was corrupt was the one recording at the time which is good as other dashcams I've had have corrupted every single file on the card when doing this causing me to lose a lot of footage, fortunately nothing I needed. The rear camera also doesn't reduce the max resolution of the front camera which is great to see as many do this and it's very frustrating.I'd strongly recommend the camera with the rear camera if you want great quality footage. The steep price is worth it. The camera feels durable, is well thought through, built well, works well and is very user friendly.

If looking for quality, this has it all.
It’s quite sophisticated, has lots of features and does everything when connected to phone. It is quite expensive but I try to get the best when buying and that doesn’t come free or cheap.

Worst Dashcam I have ever owned - Nextbase 622GW
The simplest thing I could say in a review for this Nextbase 622GW dashcam is: -DO NOT BUY THIS DASHCAM!I have had a number of dashcams in the past and they all have their issues in one form or another but this one is by far the worst I have experienced. After making the decision to replace the £100 front and rear dashcam I had when it started to fail after 4 years near constant use, parking mode and all, I looked through many and opted for the Nextbase 622GW. The lower models in the range all have great reviews so I thought I'd get the best one they have with all the bells and whistles, SOS, What Three Words, 4K, rear view addon etc. My first expensive mistake. I also purchased the additional rear view addon which I thought was a great additional feature as you simply plug in the module to the dashcam with no extra wiring and away you go. Second expensive mistake. Also purchased a 128G micro SD card for £30, initially not the Nextbase SD card but a good unit nonetheless. Third not so expensive mistake so went for the fourth expensive mistake after the dashcam was installed, worked for a short while then started freezing randomly, investigation stated the dashcam needed to be used with Nextbase micro-SD card, a crock but wasted £70 buying their card. That as the fourth waste of money on this dashcam. So, we're now nearly £400 down with a device that about as reliable as a chocolate fireguard! No use at all in my opinion. Customer services are no use either as they just keep harping on about need to get their micro-SD card even after I got their card, and there never seems to be any software updates for the unit in the hopes of fixing it so it is now chucked in my expensive waste of money junk drawer to live or die, don't care, forever.Oh, Video quality is pretty good at highest settings which I tried when I first installed the unit but opted for lower settings to make it record for longer and it does get very hot ALL the time.Hope this is useful to someone and prevents them from wasting their hard earned cash. :)

clear pictures and the APP works well.
Clear pictures, APP works well. I bought a road angel halo which had nice picture resolution but the APP was awful and kept disconnecting. So returned it and bought this instead. Glad I did. This dashcam, on the other hand, actually works quite well.It records voice as well, which is a bit weird to hear oneself on olayback. I haven't switched that feature off, yet.

Great product
Excellent piece of kit, which is easy to fit. I used the hard wire kit and followed an online you tube . Easy peasy.

Great picture, terrible connectivity.
Great picture quality and image stabilisation. Automatically saves clips with higher g-forces: emergency stops, potholes, etc. I have it coupled with the rear window cam which offers good all round coverage. Installation was quick and super easy. Automatic turn on and off with car ignition is convenient. I have the smallest available SD card and this works fine, just need to reformat every so often. My only moan (which I think is quite critical, so have docked two stars) is that phone connectivity is virtually impossible. It simply won't establish WiFi connection so videos have to be reviewed and uploaded manually on a PC via a USB. The primary reason I got this camera is to be able to upload important videos (e.g. after an accident) at the scene to ensure they are secured. Also can't download firmware updates.
