This is the photo printer we have been waiting for since digital cameras came out!!!!!!
Finally! This is the at home printer I have been looking for. For years I have printed my photos at home. I have bought printers upwards of $200 and have not achieved the results I have with this Canon Selphy printer.I have a DSLR which takes amazing photos; but I have been SO disappointed in the print quality of photos that I have either printed at home or ordered online. I have since been looking for an inkless printer that prints great photos. Finally, there is one. And not only that, the quality of the prints on this inkless printer rivals that of any other printer I've owned. And are even superior to prints I've ordered from Apple, Shutterfly, and Snapfish.Pros:-Amazing Quality 4x6 prints: Better than store printed prints, better than Shutterfly, Apple, Walgreens, these are the best.-Photo paper: The photo paper this prints on is glossy: but not too glossy. Smudge-free, waterproof, absolutely great. They are truly flat, which is perfect for scrapbooking and photo albums.-Phenomenal colors: The colors are great. I've never seen photos print where I was satisfied they matched the colors on my retina Mac screen: until I used this printer- EASY TO USE: within 5 minutes I had this printer on my home network and was able to air-print borderless photos wire free from both my computer and my phone. Amazing!-No calibration: No test pages, no print alignment, no nozzle cleaning cycles. Nothing!-Print Quality: Have I mentioned how great these photos look when they come out of the printer?-Paper + ink in one: When you purchase paper for this printer, it is bundled with the "ink" for that paper. It is the exact amount of ink you need for the paper. No more; no less. It is a great system and works wonderfully. It really makes you wonder why no one has come up with this sooner.Cons:These are all totally minor. These are nit-picky but for the sake of my review I nit-picked some.-Price per print: 108 sheets (with ink) is roughly $0.33 a sheet. This is higher than a standard photo print or a print you can order online; BUT it is worth it. These prints are superior than what you can get printed online or in the store.-Awkward paper tray: The tray sticks out and the cover is a bit weird. It is awkward on the first use but once you figure it out it is not a problem.-Expensive battery: I don't care about this because I don't have a use for a battery. Most likely you won't either.-4x6 is the largest this printer will printEdit 2/5/2016 - Occasionally a pice of dust will get stuck in the photos. It's extremely rare and barely noticeable, but it does happenIt only took me one print to realize how great this printer truly is. I have never once had a photo printer print a perfect photo on the first try. Until I tried this printer. Do yourself a favor. If you are considering this printer for purchase what are you waiting for. This is the printer we have been waiting for since digital cameras have come out. It is convenient to use and has phenomenal results and it is hassle free!

Great photo printer!
Just purchased this to be able to print the occasional photo without having to run to a store all the time (the downside to moving to a B&W laser printer). The initial physical setup was quite easy; loading the ink ribbon and paper was a breeze. The wireless setup was also super easy following the on-screen prompts. My challenge was setting up the printer on my Windows 10 computers. Following the instructions in the manual directed you to download the appropriate software from the Canon website. However, on the USA version, there was no software available as of 2/8/16. The manual listed the file name, so a Google search produced the file found on the Asian version of Canon's support site. After locating the file, installation was easy.I downloaded the software for the Android phone, thinking I could print directly from the phone using WiFi. I was unsuccessful at doing this. After reviewing the instruction, it appears you need a direct WiFi connection to the printer (not using a common WiFi connection point like a home router). I declined to follow that part of the setup at this time as I would infrequently print from my phone. The print quality is superb! Each photo looks like it came from a basic photo lab (Walmart, Walgreens, etc). I did notice one test photo looked a bit darker than the original, but was acceptable. With more printing experience, I may increase the brightness and/or contrast in the future. The package comes with 5 blank photos sheets and the ink to print them so you can try it out right away, but I'd recommend purchasing the ink/paper kit at the same time.

Great quality, reliable
I have been using this printer for a few weeks now and have had no problems so far. The colors are true, the printing is fast, and I have had not had any connection issues with my phone. I have been able to purchase replacement paper/ink at local big box stores but I usually just order it from Amazon. When shopping for a little phone printer my biggest desire was quality. It doesn’t have to be the smallest or the fastest or even the cheapest. For the pictures that really matter I will still order professionally printed photos online, but for everyday pics, or projects where I need something quickly, this lil beast has been perfect.A dye-sub printer for my phone. What a world! My biggest complaints at this point are:- it does not offer multi-image support for its tiny sticker sheets, or any photo support at all. It just prints one giant picture over all the little stickers. Pointless. Don’t buy that paper pack until they offer better support.- The app for this printer is terrible. It does less things than my iPhone’s default photo app. Also pointless.- It crops the photos. It does not give you any options as to how you would like them cropped. I don’t mind it cropping them, but wish it would ask for my opinion on the matter. Things get chopped off.
