There is no oooooo way this is a google product from the manufacturer. Something is just off about it ..... not sure if I want to hook it up to my internet

The item was advertised as “new” but in “bulk packaging”. The product I received was used - it had the word “living room” written on the bottom in pencil. The packaging was also just bags and bubble wrap with no instructions or labels of any kind.As a new product, it would have been a savings of around 15 dollars and it would have been a decent deal. As a used product, refurbished models are available from other sources.While I love the google WiFi I have in my home and wanted to add another router to the mesh network, I would not recommend this product if you are shopping for a new router.

This product is not new as stated. Really sketchy

This is definitely used. Started return within minutes of opening the box. That is how obvious this is. DO not pay this much for used equipment. There is no mention of used in the description. Would not recommend this seller.

This router replaced a few month old Linksys model that constantly disconnected from my internet. That was not so great when I stream my TV via Hulu. Anyway, I bought this model and just installed it yesterday. It was easy to set-up. Another reviewer was skeptical of this router being an actual Google product. I had to download the Google installation app onto my phone, and it worked to set-up my router. I guess that seems legit if anyone was wondering. The app was easy to use. My router and network were set-up in no time flat. My house is about 1300 square feet, and I get coverage everywhere in my house. My Wi-Fi is also slightly faster than with my old router. I will update this review if I have any problems.

I'm old school and prefer to set up my wifi through a browser; full control of it's settings, leaving nothing to chance. Google decided to force setting up this router through an app and also makes you sign in to your google account to (in my opinion) track your activities and movement. Morons. Why do I need to sign into ANY account to set up a router? That's not convenience. That's suspicious to me.Though the wifi was easy to setup, the one and only wired connection this router has, AND I NEED, was abysmal. It took my old school pc (that isn't wifi enabled) 40 minutes to finally detect the internet and utilize it. Ironically, chrome, a google product, was even worse. It struggled to maintain A WIRED CONNECTION after a patient & successful setup. How do you mess that up??I will say I love the design and wifi speeds, but I don't want to rely on an app to control features and the only ethernet port it has to offer terrible. Not worth the hassle. I sent it back the same day I got it. My old crap Netgear router is godly compared to this.

This is a great router. Period. Almost as easy to set up as a dumb switch back in the day. For day to day use I have not one complaint. For set up, the only complaints I have are not 100% of the settings are available in one app, instead they are spread between google wifi and google home, and secondly it was a bit fussy to get it to update firmware the first time, had to reset a few times to get it to go. It would be nice if google fixed that and merged all settings to one app or the other, but I will guess they won't. I would also love to see a setting to disable wpa2 at some point (for those of us that know all our devices are wpa3 compliant) , but again not holding my breath.Integrated smart home stuff looks like it could be cool, but I am an apartment dweller so it's more limited.TLDR, best router I have owned, absolutely recommend.

The install process was incredibly simple. I previously had a different brand router and i had to go in and configure it. Moreover it kept on dropping link from me google chrome cast.The minute i installed this router, it automatically identified every device, and configured itself. took me less than 30 sec to get going. No problem since.

The Google wifi lives up to its reputation. Installation was a breeze using google wifi app . The BSNL Huawei fibre modem provided the internet connection to the google router which it recognised without issues. Speed differences between the bsnl Huawei and the Google router was minimal. So what is the difference between what I had and now.ProsCan control and even schedule my sons wifi connectionPrioritise bandwidth for a particular user.Check connectivity and bandwidth to each device on the network.Integrates well with Google nest hub and Google ecosystemLooks pretty classy .ConsNo web interface. App only . But unless you are a geek you don't need it really.Prices have come down.But still CostlyGoogle nest wifi is the next avatar but the price difference and performance gain don't justify the upgrade. You can buy 3 Google wifi units for a few grands more for the cost of one nest wifiMain advantage of the Google wifi is the mesh system which comes into play when you have 2 or more units for better area coverage if you have a large house or thick walls which drops your wifi strength. If you buy just one unit you still get the advantages as above but the mesh system is what the USP of these routers.I added a wall mount to suit my preference. Looks sleek on the wall too. Will be adding a second router as soon as I get a deal . Just to quell doubts about this router iam adding replies to my own queries which I had before I took the plunge.1. Will it work with my existing internet connection. I had a BSNL fiber broad band .Ans - It will work with all kinds of internet connections as long as there is a modem which connects to your internet service provider . Google wifi is only a wifi so it requires a modem . Most of us already have a combo which is a modem as well as a wifi . So the question is why add another wifi . Well you need another wifi like Google wifi only when you want extended coverage throughout your rooms. Google wifi is a mesh system which extends your wifi seamlessly through out your home . For doing so you require two of these wifi units or more . You can continue to use your ISP modems wifi or disable it by logging in to your isps modem2. For extending range I can use wifi repeaters why use Google wifiAns . Using Repeater is definitely a cheaper option but best of the repeaters drop wifi signals considerably.3. I have a small home can I still buy one single unit.Ans . You can still buy Google wifi for the reasons I explained earlier . It gives you certain advantages of controlling kids wifi in your house and schedule availability of net and prioritising certain users . You can even have guest wifi connection. It also integrates with Google nest hub and smart home appliances and bulbs well .4. Should I buy Google wifi or Google nest wifi which is next gen and has better hardware.Ans . Google nest wifi is definitely better in terms of coverage but is not a quantum jump in performance. Nest also has wifi 5 only . Nest is more than twice the cost . Should you still want to later add Google nest Google wifi is compatible with nest and you can continue to use Google wifi as wifi points for additional coverage .

Lo compre para extender mas la capacidad de malla wifi, originalmente compre hace 2 años o mas el paquete de 3 routers, y en la segunda planta llegaba a la mitad la velocidad, con este que compre (que es el 4to router), se regularizo perfecto la velocidad del internet.

El producto no es nuevo, no viene en su empaque original, trae cables de reemplazo.

Esta usado! No viene con papeles oficiales, ni caja original. El cable está raspado. Mal empacando. No me da confianza conectarlo.Estoy pidiendo la devolución ahora mismo.
