The Genie Within: Your Subconscious Mind - How It Works and How to Use It

Clear and straightforward
This book is a good book if you want to get straight into using your unconscious mind. You don't have to read through 100 unnecessary pages before you start getting the information you want, the book is set out clearly and it is easy to find the information you want. The book includes straight forward exercises and instructions that are simple to follow. The possibilities this book touches on are amazing, but thankfully the book doesn't drown you with far fetched speculation on what you can achieve by using your mind - once you've read this book you can focus on these dreams and possibilties yourself.

A worthwhile book
Very good but I must stick to it, sigh. I have both the hard copy and audible but I think I need to have both.If you’re into this sort of thing, I do believe this book is an excellent practical guide.

This will (probably!) change my life.
I have always had hunches about the subconscious, and these were mostly confirmed by this book, and more! In this world of materialism and empiricism, intuition like mine is highly doubted and so I doubted it more as I grew older. However, your ‘hunches’ and ‘gut feelings’ probably were right, and this book explores this and takes it to a high potential. I still doubt and so this book will *probably* change my life.

Needs An Accompanying Soundtrack To Be Effective.
I found this book quite an interesting 'compendium' of ideas, some of which I have read in other books. The central premise of the book is to direct the subconscious mind when in an 'alpha' state (relatively slow brainwaves), to achieve goals, receive hunches and the like. The downside for me is the fact that you have to read the hypnotic scripts at the end of each chapter, obviously when the brain is in an alert state and therefore requiring you to either record yourself ,or purchase the author's CDs.I know this is a Kindle book, but the package ought to be along the lines of Paul McKenna's books, which include a CD, or perhaps a downloadable MP3 track.I feel this limits the program's effectiveness.

Excellent for people who which to change their life.
I first read Joseph Murphy on the subconscious mind, which is excellent.I think the Genie within has taken it to a further level and I loved this book, I'm probably one of the most sceptical people on the planet but the way this is written it's makes sense. Many people have many negative habits , thoughts or are subjected to negativity. Can't do anyone good!Well worth the money.

there is nonetheless a lot of useful life changing information in the publication
As with most things the concept of self-help is a kind of evolution, and although " The Genie Within " may not be as forward as other writings of this nature, there is nonetheless a lot of useful life changing information in the publication.

easy to understand manner and is full of great ideas ...
Mr Carpenter's book truly is a real breath of fresh air. It is written in a free-flowing, easy to understand manner and is full of great ideas and scientifically based 'titbits' that make a great deal of sense in today's modern world. I enjoyed it so much that I also bought the audio version, in which the author comes across really pleasantly and friendly. Great book and great audio for the modern seeker.

Practical & good for creative thinking
I'm impressed with the practical nature of this book and that the thinking techniques can be verified & checked. The thinking techniques are valid for creative, innovative tasks and idea generation (in business/sales).The reader is guided through the various techniques, which can be proved to work with a little practice. If you want a business edge then it seems that these techniques (if adopted) could deliver!!
