Earpadz Replacement for Sennheiser HD598, PC37x Gaming Headset Ear Pads, Protein Leather Headphone Cushions (Midnight, Black, 1 Pair)

Over a decade of use, it was finally time to replace my old ear pads. These did change the sound in more than one way. It added more bass as you'd expect, but it also pushed some of the highs forward. There not as "warm" sounding either as the mids are pushed back a bit. The entire sound stage does feel more forward as well. It sounds more compressed and not as open, but everything still sounds separate (gotta love Sennheiser clarity). I'm not upset with the changes and find these are more fun to listen to for different style of music. Also doesn't hurt that they're comfortable to boot. Not that the stock pads were uncomfortable. I'd say have some fun and give these ear pads a try.

So I got these for my pc37x from drop x sennheiser because I found that my ears were getting irritated from the stock earpads. I see now how these do change the way the headset sounds. I would describe it as the headset becomes more "closed". The material is more similar to traditional gaming headsets rather than sennheiser's iconic mesh earpads. In some ways, this does "muffle" some sounds. I do enjoy the change though. I'll take the comfort these give me over the sound change anyday.

These pads look great and don't absorb oils and sweat like the velour pads, but they totally changed the sound of my PC37x headset. It went from honestly one of the best audio quality gaming headsets I've ever used to sounding very tinny and small. I know different materials can change the sound of, well sound, to a certain degree, but I was not expecting such a vast difference. It really sounded very bad. Aside from that, the material felt very good on my head and around my ears. It was a little less plump than the velour pads, so my ear would touch the inside of the headphones, which is not a great thing, but not a deal breaker. Unfortunately I can't recommend these for anyone who prioritizes sound quality. Even if you don't, going from the stock ones to these ones will be quite noticeable if you have the same experience that I did with them. I only tried it on the one headset, so I can't speak to others.

The media could not be loaded. These were a great fit for my recently bought Sennheiser HD560S. I was unsure if they would fit but it's a perfect snug!Good comfort, easy to install, and doesn't diminish sound quality from what I can hear.It's leather on the exterior and seems like a nice memory cushion on the interior.Definitely recommend!

The leather material on these makes the audio sound like its coming through a tin can.I have a PC37X headset.

I was hyped to get rid of my smelly velour earpads but these didn't clip on the same way for Seinheisser x Massdrop PC37x

Very comfortable and made the initial clamping force of the PC37x's bearable. After about a year and a half of use, though, the "leather" has started to flake off noticeably.

I think the basic earpad in HD599, too, is good enough.Put this earpad on HD599 makes the low tone stronger.Therefore, the flat sound propensity of the basic product changes. Some people may not like the change.However, upgrading HD599 to a product that focuses more on listening to music seems to be a bigger advantage.Just like all Sennheiser products, the fact that it's very easy to detach and attach ear pads on headphones makes this product feel better.
