Just what I needed in this time of change
This book helped me realize that I wasn't going crazy, out of control. It was eye-opening and also a relief to realize I'm not alone and that there are ways to cope. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. In fact I also told my husband he should read the book to better understand what I am going through.

Informative and funny
I’ve been falling Amanda on instagram for a while and I found her very helpful so I purchased the book. I get so much good information from Instagram. It took me a while to make the time to pick up the book but I really wish I had done it sooner. It is informative and backed by science. It is interlaced with humor and whit and has so much great information!I feel like menopause isn’t something that my male ob/gyn is very well versed in and instead of telling me my symptoms have nothing to do with perimenopause and that I’m too young, this book confirms my suspicions and also tells me how to help myself through this challenging time.Wish I’d read it sooner.

Feeling Hopeful that this too shall pass
As someone who PeriMenopause hit me like an incoming train at 42, I found this book Helpful and funny. Helps me to feel less alone during this uncertain period in your life. Amanda is filled with compassion for us women who experience so many symptoms. I was drawn to her book because like her one of my earlier symptoms was anxiety and depression. I had no idea what was happening to me and it’s really scary when PeriMenopause was never mentioned to me. She gives us tips to make this transition easier. Although I’m still at the beginning, and the symptoms come and go, I have learned better coping skills and feel hopeful that I will be stronger once I get to the other side. I will keep this next to my night stand as a resource. It feels like a friend giving you advice, confidence and a pep talk when you feel at your worse. She talks about many symptoms women suffered through and there are tips on nutrition, exercise, Hormone replacement, and mindset which I’m still working on. Thanks for writing this book Amanda!! Let’s bring more MENOPAUSE AWARENESS to the USA!

A Must Read for Us Menopausal Mommas!
For many of us menopause is a journey into the unknown, looking for the light at the end of the tunnel only to get run over by the train over and over again - or at least this is how I feel! I wanted to know not only what was going on with my body but seeking also a glimmer of hope that I have the ability to control what the hell is happening. This book is a wonderful balance of science and sarcasm, advice and answers, and self love and laughter. I not only learned symptoms I suffered were likely due to menopause, I learned how to fuel my body and soul to take on this journey in the most beautiful way possible. This is a must addition to every woman’s menopause library.

A must for all women/Easy read
This book was suggested by a male friend who is in the medical/counseling field. I thought I will read it just for the heck of it as I thought I had been through menopause! I was told in my 40's I was almost through menopause by Dr . Then I started having hormone issues; and started HT; and what a shock my body went through! Everything that she describes in her first 3 chapters happened to me very quickly as my body was trying to get back to normal hormone level readings. I will purchase this book for my daughter and my daughter in law as this book cuts to the chase and explains in words we all understand.

This book should be required reading for every woman
Want someone to tell you like it is, but also make you chuckle? Amanda Thebe does just that, in this informative and essential book. She is raw about her own experience, and thoroughly explores all the options you have available to not only ease the unpleasant effects of perimenopause, but actually learn how to kick ass through it. While I have yet to experience perimenopause myself, I have recommended this book to every woman I know going through it, and I feel armed and ready for when it comes. This book needs to be required reading once you hit your early 30s and beyond.

Menocalypse should be part of your menopause library!
As a physician and menopause expert, I am hypercritical of most books on menopause, but this is one I can happily recommend. While acknowledging the safety and value of hormone therapy and directing the reader to resources for more information on the medical aspects of menopause, Thebes "stays in her lane" and expertly addresses the value and importance of exercise, diet, and lifestyle choices to"thrive during menopause" Engaging and often funny Menopocalypse supplies the reader with a roadmap to navigate and achieve peak physical performance in mid-life and beyond.

Helped me understand what's going on with my body and what to do
Amanda is 100% authentic, funny and down to earth. I like to be entertained while learning about my body. I got this book just as I was starting peri-menopause, and it helped me to anticipate my energy lows and highs and allowed me to prepare. The book emphasizes strength building as the main way to regain health and control. I have started doing some of the exercises and upgraded my weights. Excited about the changes I'm starting to see.

Interesting and easy to ready!
Very easy to read and understand. Don’t agree that you shouldn’t eat foods with ingredients you can’t pronounce - probably what the author means is try to eat foods that aren’t as processed aka chicken versus pepperoni sticks. But enjoyed the info nonetheless and love the author’s Instagram site too.

Well-researched and entertaining!
I wrote my Master's thesis on Dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation) and worked for many years in an ob/gyn office, so, it's important to me that good information about the physiology of women's bodies gets to women of all ages. I am please to be able to recommend Thebe's book as a refreshingly reasonable and accessible reference. Complex and nuanced medical information is explained in an uncomplicated way and current and past research is examined and referenced responsibly. Years of witnessing how information regarding women's body and mind can be misinterpreted and mismanaged made the reading of this book a distinct relief. Read it and be entertained (Thebe is the saucy girl we all loved in gym class) but more importantly, read it to be well informed. P.H.Oliver (Dell'Aquila)

Game Changer
This book is full of wisdom, factual info and insight to help manoeuvre what I like to call “the fuckery”.I am grateful for her courage to put it all out there to help women so they can get through this stage of life.AThe book filled with so much useful information, dry humour that is right up my alley. I have put countless of women on to her, her FB group and most recently snapped the cover of her book and messaged it over to all my friends. Thank you Amanda! G.

A really helpful and informative book
This is a brilliant book, fullof excellent information about menopause and how it affects our bodies, and the science behind what’s causing the symptoms. Alsofantastic on nutrition, and a large chunk ofthe book is about staying fit and healthy through exercise. There is a training program that anyone could do, and it will make you feel fantastic. Amanda also tells her personal story of how her menopause affected her, how it took her so long to get a ‘diagnosis’, and why she is sharing all of this information so other women don’t have to go through the same. All women should read this book.
