Instructions were a little difficult to follow in some steps, as they just feature quite small photos of what you're meant to do. That said, almost every instruction was simple enough once you figured it out.Unfortunately, one of my bags was missing ONE tiny brick which meant I couldn't finish putting it together. I emailed the company through their own website, and they right away said they'd send me the missing part. Actually they sent a replacement bag, so now I have some spare lights if something goes wrong in future!Great customer service, finished build looks amazing. Would definitely buy from them again.

I really love this set with the bookstore and townhome. It has such a charm. Adding the lights for me was kind of frustrating but only took about a half hour to perfect. The results absolutely transform the set. It’s gorgeous and allows you to see all the little details that are hidden from all the shadows. The way it’s designed all the wires are hidden between and behind the set.. wires are there but cleverly hidden. Highly recommend.

These lights are a must have for the modular buildings. They looks so much nicer lighted. The light blocks are actually of great quality and made from real Lego bricks, save for the street lantern. The street lantern is not real Lego and made from cheaper generic plastic, but unless you look closely, it is not noticeable. It still fits perfectly.The user manual is brief and not really needed. The instructions route the cables on the outside, which is ugly, so I took some liberty to route the cables on the inside. You can definitely add the lights after you build the set, the instructions even tell you to do so, but if you wanted to conceal the wires, doing it while building might be easier. The wires are tiny and fit between bricks, yet they’re quite sturdy. I had a mishap putting everything together where my building ended up dangling from the babel by the wires, but they did not break. I used the color changing light to simulate a TV rather than having it on the outside of the building, which looks nice.Any downsides? The wires between the two door lanterns are short, so you can’t open the door as the wires are not long enough to go around it. The wires between the other lights are long. Once the lights are installed, you can’t easily take the floors apart as they are all tethered together. The set is quite expensive for what it is. You can buy the interior lights at a fraction of the cost, but if you want the house lanterns illuminated, you need this set. It includes a battery box most probably won’t use. Lastly, the lights are very bright. That could be a good thing, but wish there was a way to dim them because they get quite hot and are too bright to use as a night light if you have several buildings. The cheaper generic interior lights are dimmable and remote controllable , so it’s a bummer this expensive set does not have that feature.Overall, I’d still recommend this set because of its unique pieces that turn your lego lights into real lights. If you just wanted to light the interior, there are better options.

What a wonderful product! Brilliant in execution! Wasn't too sure about the color changing light above the tree, but that has become my favorite. Well thought out design, especially appreciate that the 'accent' lights are a little less bright than the regular lights, which is EXACTLY what you'd want. Fantastically easy to follow instructions. Can't wait to order lights for the other LEGO sets.

The only difficult to work was the rooftop on the first building. Everything else no problem. This was my second Lego piece. I am late starting them, I am 82 years old. Great fun!

My kid said this was “epic”! The lights make the buildings look so good, and allow you to peer inside and see all the details that are normally in the dark. These are now a must for our Lego Creator expert sets.

This was given to a grandchild to be challenging and to avoid hearing the words, "I'm bored". It work beautifully and turned out to be a great piece!

Super easy to understand the directions , and they look Amazing bright colorful and just magic ! So happy I purchased them.

My husband was very iffy on buying the light kit to go with the corresponding Lego set. But I took a chance and bought it anyway. We are so glad that we did! It was pretty easy to install as long as you work the lights in as you build the levels and the finished result is awesome! One of the lights even changes colours! The lights also allow you to see inside the doors and windows and to see all the cool details in the build. Without them on it’s too dark to see inside. Just one word of caution, the wires are super thin so you must be careful when installing as not to kink or break the wires.

I really love this light kit for the LEGO Bookshop set. It is the first one I've ever tried and was worried it was going to be a bit fiddly to install and worried I might break it. A lot of the reviews said the cables are very fragile but I found them to be of very good quality. I had no issues installing the kit.One change I did make was that I put the light that is designed to be put on the top of the book shop inside the loft apartment. This kind of looks like there is a TV on instead of a multi coloured light glowing over the street.We currently have it powered by AA batteries but these don't last very long. Probably one evening at most. We are going to switch them over to the included USB power cable and would recommend this unless you don't mind changing the batteries often.
