iFixit Pro ESD Tweezer Set with precision extra fine, blunt, and grooved tips Model: IF145-060-2

Haven't these used yet, but VERY curiously one of the tips on the fine straight tweezers is black all the way to the tip. The other tweezers have both points polished (bare metal) for the last half inch or so. This may or may not have an impact on functionality (don't know yet), but certainly does look weird. As a probable manufacturing/inspection defect, this lowers my rating by at least 2 stars and makes me wonder what else (less obvious) did they miss. The cloth pouch to retain the tweezers is a nice touch.UPDATE!!!!!iFixit got in touch with me and I sent a picture of the odd tweezer tip to them. They sent out a replacement. Have used the tweezers some at this point and very happy with them. Presumably others won't have the tip problem, so I'm upgrading to 5 stars.

Only the wide tip tweezer is useful for me, and only because it has a good grip surface. This is very hard to find. The pointy ones are smooth and I have a dozen like that. They can pick up stuff sometimes but if they had a textured mating surface they would be far better. This set seems well made- the tips line up correctly with each other. It comes in a nice cloth pouch and includes plastic protective tip covers. BTW check the iFixit web site for some geeky thrills about fixing stuff.

I previously had purchased some inexpensive tweezers to try to build some metal models with, but they were way to flimsy, and they were as cheaply made as they were priced. I then came back to Amazon and looked around a bit more, and found these from iFixit. They are very well made, and they are exactly what I'll need to finish my small projects. I don't require the ESD coating these have at this time, but the coating itself gives the tweezers a better feeling in my hand, almost like it was rubberized for better grip. Overall much happier with this purchase than my previous one.

A few months back, I got a set of very similar looking tweezers for not too much less, but the difference is night and day.These are rigid, have nice points, and are great for hand SMD work.Was at 5 stars but had to do some very fine work and I'm bumping these down to 4 because the tip alignment is pretty far off

You just can't beat the quality of the tools that ifixit is putting out. Well, maybe you can, but I haven't found anything yet. I do wish the prices were a little easier on the bank account... but if they last as long they feel like they will, I'm happy!This particular set of tweezers amazes me because the points are needle fine, but when you put the tip together it's spot on. I typically use a Trim set of tweezers and even with a bigger head I don't think it's as accurate a grip!

Excellent product. Nicely finished, sturdy, well designed, good ergonomics and precisely shaped and finished tips. The cloth "wallet" is nice, with a separate slot for each of the three pairs of tweezers. Each pair comes with a small plastic sleeve that fits over the tips of the tweezers when closed -- a nice touch that will protect the tips and also keep them from inadvertently poking things.Very nice!

Very nice set from iFixit, each pair of tweezers are heavy in the hand which actually aids in precision. The set also comes with a nice little Velcro carrying case. I highly recommend this set if you're working on delicate electronics, small wires, etc.

If you need ultra-precise tweezers with static protection, I can't see what you could get that's better than these. The set includes spatulate -straight, fine-point-straight, and fine-point-curved --- and with these, fine means FINE. Tying or picking apart knots in fine thread is not a challenge for these. They are nicely-made, and the storage pouch (an unusual item to get excited about!) is very nifty.

This is the second set of iFixit precision tools that I have purchased and I continue to be impressed and pleasantly pleased.These tweezers are extremely precise and fine tipped for picking up the smallest of objects. Other inferior tweezers sets I have used do not perfectly lineup at the tips when you squeeze them together, I was shocked that the two sides aligned perfectly. I guess you really do get what you pay for. They have a nice matte black plastic coating on them that is comfortable to hold and non-slippery even when your hands are a little sweaty. Each set has its only protective plastic tip protector and their own dedicated slot in the cloth pouch which seals with velcro for safe keeping.

nice set of tweezers. the quality could be better, but for the price i think that they are excellent. The tip covers and holder pouch are useful for packing them away. The tips on the 2 precision ones are sharp. All the flat surfaces meet properly. The black paint adds a bit of grip. happy with the purchase for the price.

Got it for the super fine one and that works as advertised but the others are not too good, they do not meet at the end.

Love these and the selling was great to get back to me very promptly.
