This is not something you can use in summer. But on those cold winter nights? Oh yes.My poor mom though... She wanted to like this. It's so warm and she's an old woman, thin skinned and cold even in 80 degree summers. That first night she wrapped up in the weighted blanket, got cozy.And then 3am rolls around. Gotta get up and go to the bathroom, the curse of old age. Can't get up. The blanket was a bit too heavy for her! She had to yell for my sister to come help. "It felt like I had a suffocating straight jacket holding me in bed." It's a laughter inducing fun story between the family, but it highlights the need to get the proper weight of blanket. I'm still chuckling thinking about my mom telling this story though.I'd buy them again. Probably find a lesser weighted one for my mom. Well made, warm, comfortable.

MUST BUY!! My boyfriend and I were looking for a bigger blanket for our new queen size bed. Glad we bought this one. It definitely is heavy and comfortable, not as breathable as I expected (we just put our AC to 63 degrees and the fan on to make up for it since we live in a hot area). We did wash it once since we bought it and it's very heavy in the washer but we air dried it. We just love how soft the texture is against our skin...and I guess you could say our dog loves it too :)

This is singlehandedly the best weighted blanket I've ever gotten. I hate the ones with the removable covers as they're always so inconvenient so I'm glad this one is just one whole thing. It's super soft, the weight is perfect and I've been able to sleep much better, especially now that I don't have to struggle with a blanket cover threatening to twist and turn because it got detached.
