Lenovo Ideapad S540 10th Generation Intel Core i5 14 inch FHD Thin and Light Laptop (8GB/512GB SSD/Windows 10/Office 2019/Grey/1.5Kg), 81NF006PIN

I have researched many laptops in the range of 40K to 60K. But the requirement of thin n light laptop , SSD , i5 processor , Nvidea graphics card etc. all these requirements are available in range above 50K only . Lenovo S540 comes with many varients , this one is 14 inch with 512 GB of SSD . There are many prons and few cons of this laptop as follows :-1. Very slim and light weight (17 mm thin and only 1.5 kgs ) of you are looking for a easy portable laptop this is the one.2. 512 GB SSD makes it very fast , if more storage is not the requirement you should go for this because SSD are 3X faster than HDD.3. 8 GB RAM makes its processing so fast that it reboot in just less than 5 seconds.4. Dolby speakers sounds great, volume is sufficient and clear to watch a movie.5. Speakers are on keyboard sides not on back sides which makes the sound clearly audible.6. Fingerprint sensor makes it convenient to log in easily and fast.CONS1. Battery backup is good but not as per what the company claims. It gives a backup of 4 to 5 hours with normal work and upto 3 hours with gaming.2.The cooling fans are on backside which need special care to be taken and can't be used without a cooling pad / any solid plate.3. If you are looking for a gaming laptop this is not the correct option although small and medium games upto 4GB can be played without lagging . Cooling pad is recommended since heating will occur while gaming.Overall recommendable laptop in this range.

Pros:- finger print is insane- bootup speed bcz of SSD- light weight laptop- ultra slim and has a premium look- MS office Home and Students 2019 subscription- 2GB graphic card + 8GB RAM- Good display though brightness could have been betterCons:- Battery back around 4-5hours- keyboard, I don't understand why lenovo don't change its keyboard- Though Sound is good, the reason for me to keeping it in con is it says Dolby Audio but you can't feel that Dolby speaker. It's a regular audio which sounds good.Overall a very good laptop for people who are looking for a ultra slim laptop with SSD storage + 8GB RAM + 2GB Graphic card + finger print + less weight + graphic card +pre installed MS Office.Thank you !!!

Such a sleek laptop for professional use is worth it, i bought this laptop as my daily driver for programming and its perfect in all ways. Definitely, its the best alternative for macbook pro. Wonder why there isn't much youtube reviews, its an underrated laptop.Surely there will be no regrets!!

The backlit keyboard doesn't work sometimes and uncomfortable keypad.Battery backup is not as specified.Service not good.Speakers not upto the mark.

HelloIt has been only 3 days since I have got this latop. Please see my review belowPros1) The delivery was prompt and laptop was recieved in good condition2) The Laptop recieved is as per the specfications i.e processor, ram, HDD , ms office , windows 103) The laptop external body is of good material (non-plastic) and seems to be sturdy.4) The Laptop intial setup process was smooth and no issues.5) Multiple applications like browsing, meetings on online platform with Video and Audio is good.6) laptop sound is decent to hear on speaker. However recommend to use headphone for longitivity of the speaker.Cons1) Warranty support : The laptop arrived and lenovo waranty starts from 24th June itself. I got this product on 8th Aug 2020. So basically i have less warranty support as promised of 1 year from the manufacturer. I am yet to respond to Lenovo on this.Further review i can providde may be after 1 month of usage to tell the actual performance

+ Light wt+ Decent performance- Keyboard is not so comfy- Camera is faulty and vulnerable to software updates- Finger print reader is faulty and vulnerable to software updates- Support needs to be improved (Chennai) was good initially and not great nowOverall, I wouldn't recommend this with this price tag.

Ordered this during the Aug sale and got it for almost the same price - No discounts or No interest free EMI. The laptop is very premium looking with aluminium casing and very light in weight. The keys are not that great, but you will get used to it. Overall a good looking one along with performance.
