Z-Edge Portable Monitor - 15.6" Ultra-Slim Full HD IPS Screen with Type-C, Secondary Monitor for Laptop, PC, MAC, Phone, Xbox, PS4

This monitor saved my work life. Working from home has not been without its challenges. I don’t have a permanent workspace at the moment, so I needed something I could pack up and move around. I worked for 6 month on my teeny Mac air and just couldn’t do it anymore. This gave me exactly what I needed in regards to extra screen space and portability. The clarity is great and you can set it up for low blue light, change the brightness, etc. A few things, the magnetic cover/stand is really only good as a cover imo. I ended up getting a tablet stand for adjustable heights and angles. I also had to purchase a lightning bolt 2 to hdmi adapter. This screen came with a C connection, which my laptop does not support. Easy to fix w the adapter, though. It’s has its own speakers, but they are only ok when using w my Mac so I use the Mac speakers instead. If I were using my phone with this screen, the integrated speakers would be ok to use. Overall, I am so happy to have this monitor. It’s brought back some productivity to my workday.

Not much else to say. I came in with reasonable expectations for such an inexpensive portable monitor, and those expectations were far exceeded. Picture quality is great, bright, and built in speakers aren't half bad either when plugged into my pc over HDMI.The ONLY bad things are the included usb cord for power is too short, but I had a 10ft lying around so I solved that problem easily. The other issue was that the cover needs to be "broken in" to act as a stand. For the first couple of days, it kept on falling down until I wiggled it back and forth enough so it would stay in place instead of trying to bend outword from how it was packed.Overall, If you can get it on sale for less than $150, it's easily worth it

If you are a type of person who would love to have a secondary monitor, I was really impressed with this monitor. It is truly portable. I usually carry it around with my work laptop. It is very thing and pretty light for something like this. There is a down side in that this is wider so it may not fit in your laptop case. You are able to power it via type c to type c (video works through this as well) or you can use type c to usb a but you will need to connect video via mini hdmi to HDMI. One thing to note that it does not seem to work well with adapters. What I mean is if you are trying to hook this up to your desktop, you cannot use a DVI to HDMI adapter. It just does not work for some reason. I also tried it with a display port adapter and it did not work. You also cannot use any extension cord as well. You just have to get a longer mini hdmi to hdmi cable or longer type c cable. It can be powered pretty much by any USB port. I tried it with my gaming console usb and it worked fine. There were no issues with quality from what I can tell. It does come with internal speakers which are not exactly the best but it works. There is also headphone jack on the side if you want to plug into this via headphone to play or watch. You are able to get pretty good video quality 1080P out of this. You are not getting 4k and for some computers it may actually be off centered from what i can tell. The controls are a bit weird. It is just a small toggle switch you can press and push up and down. There were not really much instruction on how to use this and I had to just had to fiddle with it and learn from trial and error. I played my ps4 on this and the video quality was not bag. The picture was pretty fluid and I did not strain my eyes play games on this. I also use it with my work laptop when I need to work remote. I do am able to have two monitors pretty much at all time. It does come with a folding case that is also the stand. It is not the best and I would have preferred a better stand as you cannot really adjust it very well. You only get like one angle and that is it. You have to adjust your position accordingly which is the downside. Other than that this is a pretty protective cover. It is carbon fiber so scratches will not great through this very easily. The case is only held on via a magnet so be careful when adjusting to not have the case/stand fall off. The screen itself however is easy to get finger prints on and I would say be careful not to scratch it. I would wipe it down with just a micro fiber cloth if need. It works great for those long car trips as well if you want to set up a game station in the back seat. You can just put this on using the car usb or battery pack and you are ready to go. Overall this is a good monitor to have for a secondary or travel screen. You are able to plug in gaming consoles or computers. The computer will automatically detect it. It does not require a ton of power so you can pretty much use any USB port. I also have used this as a mobile repair monitor. The only down side is that I do wish the monitor had a better stand as you are limited to just pretty much one angle. Also the fact it is held up just by a magnet is a bit concerning. It is sturdy but easy to detach from the "case". The video quality is pretty good for gaming purpose as well.

New updates on my review, after experiencing issues with my monitor, the company reached out to me and offered to replace since still in warranty. The service was fast and genuine. if a company stands behind their product, and their customer service was outstanding, I will be back too.

Make sure you use correct usb c cable or your phone will not connect for dex. I do recommend getting a stand as the cover does not really work well for that purpose. again for the money and the fact that i do not need to carry a laptop I am happy. Few pointers... If you are using your phone as keypad for dex make sure to connect usb power directly to the screen, it will charge your phone and provide enough power for the screen. I think you can use a usb c hub to connect full keyboard and mouse but I do not remember if I tried it, phone is sufficient for me but should I need to do some coding on the go will certainty op out for keyboard/mouse

Item is actually 14" x 8.5" x 0.5", display is 13.5in x 7.75 in. Otherwise, lightweight, not too bright display, but unusable for my needs, as the display is so much smaller than the dimensions, it doesn't fit frame I planned for it.

I do a lot of laptop work writing papers and charting. The Z-Edge greatly enhanced my ability to keep source documents open on the second screen while I could keep writing on my first screen. It's light, portable, and the setup is as easy as it gets. I appreciate the USB cables included and the built in cover/stand is a very nice touch. As an added bonus, my son will sit next to me watching videos on the Z-edge while I work on my main laptop screen. I enthusiastically endorse this product. (My 4 stars for the brightness is that it is a little dim compared to other displays I have seen)

Using it with my laptop works great as a second screen. Tried using it with my fancy iPhone 11 and did not work so well with the attachment I had to use. The attachment over heated and I did not get good picture quality. Maybe it was the movie I was watching and possibly Verizon's high speed network. I suggest using it as a second screen for a laptop. Too much spaghetti to use with an iPhone (attachment, power cable, video cable).
