ZHENWEI Rain Jacket Women Waterproof with Lined Raincoat Outdoor Active Travel Hiking

This is the earliest review I've written - I usually wait a few weeks before writing one, but had to share my initial thoughts because it had alot of the little things that I think makes this a good jacket. With that said, a couple caveats - I have not washed it (but doubt it'll shrink) nor tried it out on a rainy day yet ( so not sure how water resistant). Also I bought the gray in large - not sure every jacket have the same features. Based on other reviews and pictures, some might be slightly different in design.This jacket is very light and thin with mesh lining inside. I'm not sure how dry I'll be if there's a downpour. It has a removable zipper hood. The hood also has strings so you can close it tighter around your head. There are strings on the body of the jacket too - the strings sits above the waist as others have mentioned, but it's there to cinch up if you want to have a more form - fitting look. And my two fave features are the pockets and sleeves. The side flap pockets are flattering but also functional - deep enough to hold my phone, keys, etc while securely closing with two snap buttons on each pocket. Also the sleeves are adjustable - looks are only ok but so useful if the sleeves are too long. I've provided a picture to show what it looks like.

I saw some reviews posted pictures of a jacket with a belt and/or dual colors. The model I bought is a solid color and has adjustable waistline string on the outside.Right out of the package, this jacket looks great, it is soft, the snap buttons don't stick and are easy to snap and unsnap, the hood is large enough to give your head and face room to move but you can also tighten it if you like, the zipper is smooth and easy to pull up or down, the mesh lining is well done and does not bother me. Overall, a well-made jacket. I initially bought the XL and while it fit fine just about everywhere, I felt I wanted a little more room at the chest area so I returned the XL and bought the XXL. I personally do not like my jackets/coats belted so I don't plan to use the waistline string for that, but I do want to note that I found it refreshing to see it placed right at the waistline and not at my bra line (for ref I am 5'7") like some other jackets do. So now my problem is that I ordered two different colors and am trying to decide which one I like better.

This jacket looks great online and it does look similar in person. What I didn't like about this jacket was the length.It definitely needs to be about 6 inches longer. This jacket barely comes to the bottom of your butt. So if you have any kind of behind, the jacket will not fully cover you, therefore, you'll get wet. The sleeves were a little long but that's not a big deal because you can roll them up. There is also a tab with a snap if you want to make the sleeves elbow length. The lining is mesh and not fleece, so this is not a jacket you wear for warmth but the rubberized outer layer gives the impression that it would be heavy, but it's not. The other weird issue is the draw string waist. There is no stop tab on the strings. So if you do decide to pull the strings to cinch the waist, you'll have to tie the 2 strings together or...you'll have to tie a knot in each string to keep the waist cinched. Lastly, I wasn't crazy about the pockets. The pockets are on an angle and not very deep. It's good that there are snaps on the pockets, otherwise whatever is in them would fall out. I think this jacket works best for very slim people or for people who have little to no "junk in the trunk". I wore this on a light rainy day so I'm also not sure exactly how waterproof it is. The hood is very good. Good coverage for your neck and head with adjustable draw strings. So the hood stays closed. Again, this would be a better jacket if it was a bit longer.

I was pleasantly surprised. I was abit unsure in its packaging but after I ironed the wrinkles out in a warm setting, the jacket looked way better than what I had expected. 5 stars for great color, stylish, great fit, light weight and lined, hood is detachable, and great price!

The raincoat is a good color and a good length on me and it does a well enough job keeping me dry in rainy weather but the quality is lacking. The snaps are too close to the hem of the placket, the pockets have snaps for decoration but not to functionally close them, the hood is too small on my head, and the belt doesn’t sit at my natural waist.

I got this jacket in navy first for my UK trip but swapped it for gray because most of my clothes for the trip are black/gray/white. The gray turned out darker than expected, but it's still cute! I like that the hood is detachable, so it's great for sunny days. It really does repel water like it says, which came in handy when it rained. And unlike another jacket I bought before that was too tight around my hips when zipped up, this one in size large fits just right. The only con is the strings around the waist. I wish it was on the inside rather than on the outside. But other than that, I highly recommend this jacket.

Purchased this jacket prior to my trip to Spain. I was looking for a cute windbreaker/raincoat and this worked perfect! It has a hood I used when there was light rain. Definitely keeps you warm. I like that it has a way to clip the sleeves up. It has a piece of the material inside the sleeves like a thin strip with a button so you can button it on the outside. I mostly did this because I'm a short person and the sleeves were about 1-2" too long for my arms so it worked perfect. I normally wear size XL but based on previous reviews I sized up to 2X so it wasn't tight. It ended up being a little loose but I'd rather loose than right and uncomfortable.

I liked this jacket it is comfortable. The hood really protects me from the rain. BUT my big problem is the zipper broke. The teeth no longer match up. I have tried multiple times to make it work but I can’t. I took it to a tailor and to replace the zipper will cost more than I paid for the jacket !!
