it has a black and color cartridge so black and white printing will be from the black cartridge only

Yes it has a router in the unit that can be used as wireless

Turn On the printer Click on the gear wheel (this is your tools) brings you to the next page Choose the option “LAN Settings”brings you to the next page Choose WiFi takes you to the next page Choose WiFi Set Up and choose your routing number and enter password. Any device using the same URL will be able to print from any WiFi capable device.
