This slicer is the most amazing tool I have in my kitchen and I have a lot of tools. My original one is about 7 years old and is still slicing like when I got it. No other product works quite like this one and I have tried a few.It can chop up an onion in a few turns, it stays put on the counter and comes apart for easy cleaning. The only veggie that it will not chop up is carrots. It makes the best chopped salad, tuna, egg salad and deviled eggs.

I was astounded by the great performance of this simple, sturdy, and highly effective machine. If you love Israeli salad, as I do, you would be insane not to have this. It took me literally less than a minute to make a huge bowl of delicious, fresh salad. Add hummus and bread. Meal. Balance that against ten or fifteen minutes of chopping by hand on a cutting board...I rest my case. The further possibilities are staggering: anything you want quickly and easily diced (e.g., mincemeat for mincemeat pies, egg salad, on and on). Based on some of the few negative reviews I read here, I thought I was taking a shot in the dark, but I am now a huge fan. It took me one over-chopped batch to realize that this cutter is so good and so easy that you have to restrain yourself from turning the crank handle too much!

This product is AMAZING! I bought it after a friend showed me hers, which she has had for over 2 years now. I HATE chopping onions. With this, I just slice it in half and throw it in. It’ll chop into pieces or pure mush if you keep going. The consistency is up to you. Making cauliflower “rice” is super simple. Don’t spend $3/bag when you can throw it in here and rice it in a matter of seconds- for less than a fraction of the price!

I love this product. It makes salad preparation a breeze. As a result we genuinely eat a lot more salad which is great for all of us. One word of warning though. Don't overload this. If you are making a very large amount of salad then it's best to split this into two portions for cutting. I wasn't doing this and eventually one of the cogs in the lid wore down. Fortunately the customer support was excellent and I was promptly sent a replacement lid from Israel. Thank you so much.

It's good. It does a really good job in cutting all sorts of veggies. I'll never use it for making a salad though..... it feels different than cutting the vegetables by hand, and it doesn't taste as well. In other words I use it if I want to cook vegetables with something else and want the dish to integrate well together since this slicer slices very thin and small.

I bought the Master Slicer in November of 2014 and I have used it on and off through all this time. The slicer does what it suppose to do and will make you a fine chopped salad BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM, at this point the suction cups no longer work and without this strong grip of the set to the surface it is on, it is hard to use this unit unless somebody else is holding it down. I am going to ask for replacement if I can only find where and who to ask ..... this product comes from overseas. You may want to consider this fact before you buy this.It is now May 2nd and what I found out is that this product doesn't have a way to buy replacement parts and even more worrisome is the fact that you can't talk with the manufacturer/distributer by phone or by e-mail .... bad for customers.I had to go back to Bed Bath & Beyond and buy a new one. The nice thing of buying it from them is that even after usage of a few years, they have given me 80% money back from what it is listed in the store for my old Slicer and so I was able to buy a new one from them for 20% of the cost at the store. This is a smart policy .... kudos to B.B.&B.

My mom and sister recommended this product so I figured I'll give it a try - and I'm so glad I did! Since we got it we have been making all sorts of salads - Israeli salad, asian cabbage salad, fruit salads... We use it to chop veggies for cooking, it works great with onions/celery/cilantro that needs to be fine chopped. I had a harder time with carrots - a little too hard of a vegetable maybe. My kids can make their own salad with it. Just be careful because the blades are extremely sharp.Tip for cleaning: chop fruits or veggies in the Master Slicer, and them transfer to another bowl to add oil and salt or dressing. That way, all you need to do is hold the slicer parts under running water to clean, and let dry. Takes 3 seconds and the slicer is clean.

I didn't even want to give this review 1 star - but the system wouldn't let me submit this without selecting one.We ordered this Slicer as a gift for someone - and we just heard from them that there were NO BLADES in the box. The box was a bit "beat-up" when it arrived - but we never imagined that there would be parts/pieces missing from inside. This is very discouraging and very disappointing. The least that should be done is that they send us the blades that belong with the product. We're not asking for anything extra.............just what should have come with it originally.A response from either the company or Amazon would be greatly appreciated.Becki

The Master Slicer is an excellent product and slices and chops all vegetables perfectly. It is also fast, efficient and simple to use and is a wonderful addition to my kitchen!

This is the best kitchen tool I have owned. Easy to use and clean and you have a salad ready in 2 minutes.

My work colleagues had one and the salad they make looked dilicious, so I bought one and never looked back!
