Not good for heavy chewers
I got these for my class. Had 1 student bite through the end and another nearly. The type of break away clasp is effective for the safety aspect but it breaks really easily. I had a class of behavioral students and pulling on someone else's was definitely a problem at one point for a few of them.Cautions:1) Talk to your child's doctor before introducing something like this. It may or may not be beneficial to their course of therapy.2) If you want your child to have this at school, you'll likely need an IEP or 504 plan to ensure it isn't just taken away. Please note though, that if they use it as a weapon by swinging it and hitting people or trying to strangle someone, it's going to be taken away. Fidgets cannot be used to hurt others, and an IEP or 504 plan will not override the safety of everyone else.3) Make sure to clearly explain correct use of this fidget to your child, preferably with either a doctor, therapist, special education teacher, or a counselor trained in oral fidgets. Knowing that they're to help focus and when to use it is not necessarily instinctive for the kids that need it most because they've probably been yelled at to not chew on things in the past.4) Understand there are dental and speech concerns in using these and talk to a specialist. If your child is in speech therapy, discuss trying these for classroom anxiety BEFORE introducing them to your child as a classroom tool because the speech pathologist may discourage this for the specific struggles your child's working on. I haven't heard of any saying no on principle, but I suppose it's possible. That's why an open conversation is critical. If there are valid dental or speech reasons not to use this, or only in specific conditions, please listen to those specialists because they do care about your child's emotional wellbeing.Final reminder:If your child is a heavy chewer, look for something thicker. If not and you're looking for something that can be sterilized and kept clean, this is a good option.

Amazing for Sensory Kids – Great Quality & Value!
I got this 8-pack of sensory chew necklaces for my child, who has sensory needs and chews a lot, and they have been a lifesaver! The diamond-shaped design is perfect—not too bulky but still sturdy enough to handle frequent chewing. The silicone is soft yet durable, and it doesn’t break down quickly like some other chewables we’ve tried.I love that it comes in a variety of colors, so my child can pick their favorite each day. The adjustable breakaway clasp is a great safety feature, and they’re easy to clean—just rinse with water or toss them in the dishwasher.✅ Pros:✔️ Durable, high-quality silicone✔️ Safe and non-toxic✔️ Variety of colors for different preferences✔️ Easy to clean and reuse✔️ Great value for 8 pieces! If your child has sensory needs, anxiety, or just loves to chew, these are a fantastic, affordable solution. Highly recommend! 💙✨

GREAT!!
My kid and I both love them!!! Not rock hard plastic. Consistency of a really really durable pencil eraser that doesn't flake off instantly. Does break down, but takes work.

Not tough enough
Not for tough chewing.. I received it today and only two of them survived.. my neurodivergent 8 year old has already chewed up 6 in only half a day..

Sturdy
My son is a typically developing 6 year old, but is always chewing on things. Mostly the remote control while he's watching TV. I bought these for him to try and they are GREAT!
