I love this microwave, the instructions were so easy to understand. I have to admit that with my last one I never could understand how to defrost with it but I can with this one. It has so many good functions, being able to just press one button for 1 to 6mins plus the 30sec is so useful. Then you have time cook, time defrost weight defrost, very easy to understand. There is also a useful memory button.

I bought this to replace a 900w oven of similar size which had rusted terribly. This Toshiba is only 800w but actually seems to cook better than the old one. It is very easy to use though there are not particularly sophisticated programs to choose from. I expect that most of the time I will use the Express cook facility. Just press a time (1 - 6 minutes) and it starts immediately. There is weight or time defrosting available. So far the putting in the weight has proved pretty accurate. It will show how long it will take.The beverage button is also a good short cut. The first setting is for one cup (200ml) and the second setting for bigger amounts or perhaps 2 cups. I heat milk in a mug for a latte (toped off with a lungo from the nespresso machine) and one press of the button is perfect (takes 1minute 10 seconds).I personally like the design as it looks neat and smaller than it is. Cleaning is also easy with a wipe down after use.The hot air vent is on the left side of the machine and must be kept clear.The fan is very quiet meaning the machine over all is also very quiet.

This was a replacement for a 35 year old Whirlpool Philips microwave oven (made in Sweden) which had never broken down and was still working perfectly well but we felt should probably be replaced because of its age. We wanted something basic and not too large so this fits the bill. It is small but a 10" dinner plate will fit inside. It has three memories (the Whirlpool had two) and a defrost function. The door and the buttons are more clunky than we're accustomed to but OK when you get used to them. My main, quite major, gripe is the defrost function. Our previous oven could be programmed according to type of food and its weight and it then calculated the time for defrosting. You selected from bread, vegetables, meat, fish and poultry, entered the weight and it did the rest. This one only goes on weight or the time you want to defrost and I have no idea how one is supposed to know how long any particular type of food is going to take to defrost - surely 200g of meat takes a lot longer than the same weight of vegetables/fish/bread? So, from this point of view, our 35 year old oven is superior, a bit surprising. Still, for under £70 I suppose this isn't a bad buy. I just hope it lasts another 20 years without trouble, which might see me out.

Bought as a present, as far as I know my daughter is happy with it.

It is a nice microwave and its quiet running

Works perfectly fine when heating food, but….. the buttons can be a little finicky. Have to really press down on them or sometimes even twice for the unit to receive input. Also, the clock is too fast. Will accumulate an extra 5 minutes within 2 months. Have to keep changing the clock to be accurate.
