We love using this for foaming and steaming milk. We use 2% for foaming and whole milk for steaming. It works great for both.I bought this despite some reviews about the durability. It's been two years of almost daily use and it's worked perfectly. The only issue is that the soft plastic plugs covering the screws in the handle fell out and got lost.I need to point out that the icons on the buttons are confusing. I can't tell just by looking which button steams and which one froths. Had to commit to memory that the one on the right makes good hot chocolate and the one on the left makes good foam for coffee.

During the pandemic, I had been missing my Nitro cold foam coffees from Starbucks. Then my husband found the cans of Nitro in the grocery store, which are pretty good, but ... no foam. Then I got this, and my life has changed! I have been making all kinds of coffees; I use the cappuccino setting, which makes a cold foam to put on my Nitro (pictured), and the latte setting for my hot coffee. We only ever have 2% milk in the house, and it works fine. Plus, get some of the Torano syrups to add to your coffee (brown sugar cinnamon makes a cinnamon dolce, pictured), and you’re better than any coffee shop! I’ve found you can also make your foam a sweet cream by adding just a touch of simple syrup to your milk before foaming - not too much, because it does affect the foam, and also be sure to clean the foaming cup really well after you’ve done that because of the added sugar. Doing that and adding bourbon cream to my coffee, I’ve now created the best after dinner coffee I’ve ever had, hands down!I’ve used this almost daily since Christmas, no problems.

I have an automatic espresso machine with a hands-free frother, but it could be better, so I wanted to try this as a way to get a better froth. It definitely delivers! I mostly use 2% milk, but I've tried whole and oat milk in this as well and it does great. Very rich and thick froth with both types of regular milk. The oat milk wasnt as thick, but it was nicely steamed and had a little froth to it. I also like to use this when I make hot chocolate. It's whisper quiet and super easy to clean (use a nonabrasive sponge).

If you appreciate loud, high pitch noises every morning when you make your beverage of choice, then this is the milk steamer/frother for you!Per the instructions of the Aevo Milk Frothing Machine, when you place the pitcher onto the heating base, "You will hear a small "ding"". I can only assume Aevo tested their product from the cockpit of an F35A Lighting II Fighter Jet, with their hearing protection/headsets on, mid-takeoff. Only then could the "small ding" you hear be considered anything short of needing its own hearing protection.Both tea making and coffee making are rituals. For many, peaceful rituals that take place in the morning with the sleep still in our eyes. The beeping (aka, the small dings) that this thing manages to produce are ear splitting, vomit inducing, high pitched beeps guaranteed to make any dog cower within a 5 mile radius of your home. One long beep when you turn it on, one beep when you put the cup on the base, one beep when you select your frothing method, and multiple beeps upon completion that would bring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to his knees in tears, begging for it to stop.Frothing: 5 StarsEase of Use: 5 StarsAbility to use it without my neighbors murdering me in my sleep: 1 StarSadly, I have to return this product. Whoever thought these beeps were a good idea should lose their job.

The unit is attractive and compact, and does a good job with my single serving. However, I read negative reviews stating that it stopped working after a month or so of use. The same thing happened to me, but I discovered a problem with the frothing plunger. It needs to move freely up and down by about 1/8 inch. The plunger is flattened on one side and can become jammed. A gentle twist (and maybe a drop of food grade mineral oil) will solve this problem. With this correction, the unit worked perfectly again. I suggest a design change to prevent this from happening. That is the reason for four, rather than five, stars.

This frother and steamer worked great from day one! It was everything I was looking for to make my daily morning routine smooth and easy. Which is why I was so upset when it stopped working within the first almost month and half of owning it. Not sure why or how, but the particular unit I had received stopped working after a power outage at home. All my other appliances were fine, but this guy couldn’t handle it.I still really believed in the product and haven’t found one like what AEVO provides, so I reached out to customer service with the issue and they offered me a full refund. However I told them that still really liked their product. So they sent me a brand new unit in less than a week. They were very kind, very attentive to my need, and went above and beyond to help remedy a situation that was out of anyone’s control. Thanks so much AEVO! You’ve gained a forever customer!
