The female end of the charge port broke off into the unit, and I had to have it repaired by a third party after the company was entirely unresponsive to customer service inquiries. Then one day it just stopped working altogether, with no warning or cause. It sounded great (especially for the price) when it did work, although the bass was so strong on any solid surface it would literally wobble its way off of any hard surface. I had to fold up a towel underneath it to soften up the bass.

My husband has used this speaker everyday for a year. It has a great sound and is more affordable than other options. We are glad we purchased this one because I think ADX makes quality products (similar to more popular brands), but they are better designed. The cord holder on this speaker is very stylish -- which I never looked for in a speaker before, but I definitely appreciate the attention to detail from ADX.

Excellent product. Highly recommendable. Amazing battery life, high quality sound and great looks. This is good stuff. I am not sure if it is better than the Bose Mini but I would say that it is very close, and the price difference is huge.

Excellent sound, technical design, and build quality. This unit sounds way bigger than it is, but in a balanced way, not over driven or boosted (unless you choose that EQ setting). This Atom v3 is quite dense and sturdy for being so small. Only negative I found is the order of the control buttons. e.g. the power button is not in line with the power light in the center. The buttons are hard to distinguish in low light, but that is not a problem once you memorize their location.

Speaker sound good when turn up has very tight bass, anything under 50 percent speaker sound rather thin, bass virtually non exist so at lower volume speaker is not usable at all , volume wise the unit not quite loud enough for it size.

This is a very nice speaker, it has pretty good sound range with a good amount of bass. This speaker comes with a carrying bag. This speaker is on the bigger side but it's still a good portable size. I have been using this speaker for over 2 weeks now while I workout and it still hasn't ran out of battery. There are 2 connection options: bluetooth and AUX connection. I was able to easily connect this speaker to my iPhone 6 through bluetooth and it successfully connected on subsequent uses. The AUX cord stores directly in the back of the speaker which is nice because it won't get lost.I received this product at a discounted price to evaluate and provide an unbiased review.

Preamble--------------------------It is possible that somehow the look of the Atom v3 is known by you, because with only a few differences the speaker is very similar to the well known X05-UE3 speaker from ADX. The Atom v3 has the same proper housing but without the handle on the top and the colour sheme is a little bit different. Also the ADX logo is obviousely more discreet than on the X05-UE3.So what are there for technical differences… not a lot at all.Instead of a battery with 2.600mAh now 4.400mAh are integrated. New speakers are added and the soundtuning has changed.What this means in detail you will read now.First impression-------------------------------The packaging is quite simply but attractive. The Atom v3 itself is stored in a half shell that fixes it during transport. So no scratches will appear on the surface of the Atom v3. With the speaker comes a manual and the cables are stored under the inner half shell wrapper.Technique, handling & design--------------------------------------------------The Atom v3 contains 2 fullrange speaker with each 5W of power. With the 4.400mAh battery the speaker played at the last weekend 21 hours at “normal” volume level , not at maximum and not at a whisper level. For producing of the bass there are two passive radiators at the bottom of the Atom v3 responsible. They are protected due to beeing mounted in a partition panel. A benefit of this bass downfire-method is that you can place the Atom v3 at any place and it sounds really good. But placed in a corner the bass gets immersive.The Atom v3 is a Bluetooth speaker that is not mini anymore but in the midrange with about 1 litre of volume (7.87 inch x 3.46 inch x 2,36 inch).Playback is possible via bluetooth or cable via AUX input with 3,5mm jack. The necessary cable is stored at the back of the speaker what is a very smart idea. Thus the cable is available anytime.The Atom v3 has a great feature most other speaker does not have. I mean the EQ-mode where two different basic sound tunings are stored. The normal mode is the more bassy mode and my favorite. The other mode is optimized for the maximum possible volume and therefore the bass area is a little bit reduced and the frequencies above 3kHz are pushed some dB.The Atom v3 is not as bassy as the BOSE Soundlink Mini for example but the Atom makes the better sound. Till the maximum volume it plays free of distortion regardless style of music I am listening to.With a separate equalizer setting on my music player I can push the bass a few more dB and the sound of the Atom gets really fat!To handle the speaker 7 buttons are placed at the top. Due to a rubber coverage splash water is no problem. Every button has a unique function. There is an on/off-switch, two skip buttons and two volume change buttons, a play/pause button and the ‘M’ode button for switching between the two EQ-modes.The proper housing is built of aluminiu as the speaker grill, too. The built quality is on a high grade. There are no produktion mistakes like varying clearances. The design is very good and even more cute without the handle as used with the X05-UE3. The Atom looks more noble now with this proper housing and the more discreet logo at the front.Complex tonal sound---------------------------------------First of all I have to say that there is nearly no basic noise neither from the amplifier nor from the bluetooth system.The maximum volume is remarkable for the 10W combined power. While switching from normal to loud EQ preset you get a lot of more volume but at both settings you will have rich sound. Wehereat with the loud mode the bass is reduced about 3dB and the high shelf is raised about 6dB so you get an amazing loud volume for outdoor use.The Atom does not have any dynamic frequency modification and as a result the bass increasess till maximum volume as linear as the upper frequencies. As a result you get at a high volume levels a better sound as the BOSE Soundlink Mini or the JBL Flip 3 are capable of. You see this in the response curves I added in the fotos.With my Samsung Galaxy S5 as player the sound is in flat mode already great but with the Sony NWZ-A15 and activated Clear Audio+ you get a very impressive sound even at lower volume levels.The Atom v3 plays the kickdrums very punchy but also plays bass lines as appearing in Jazz or Chillout genre very smooth at the same time. Only missing is a little bit more deep bass. With using an external equalizer you could increase the bass without getting distortions to fast but below 90Hz there is only a slight increasing, seems to be a lowcut there.If the Atom would be capable of playing down to 70Hz like the BOSE Soundlink Mini and sounds without distortions like now the Atom would be the no.1 of the best sounding bluetooth speakers up till 200$ for a much lower price.How is it with an improved Atom v4 Audio Dynamix? ;)Improvement--------------------------Beside the suggestion to enhance the deep bass a little bit there is only one annoying handling fact. The on/off-switch is very sensible. A single press forces immediately to switch on or off. With putting the speaker in my bag I often hear the switch on tones by "accident". So it is easily possible that the speaker runs out of battery during the transport. A longpress would be the better choice for this function to switch on and off.Conclusion-----------------------The Atom v3 is already a great sounding speaker for a low price. In my opinion the best sounding and balanced speaker in the product range of Audio Dynamix at these days. For all who wants real bass punch with clear sound now the Atom v3 is highly recommended.It is a real bargain!
