Good for child who loves music!
My six year old loves anything musical. Lately, he has been wanting a trumpet and anything in the woodwind family. After reading many reviews, I was quite worried about the durability of this but decided on getting it for him anyway. For the price, I am so glad we did. It is cheaply made from a very light plastic, but we like to see how he does with a instrument before we go out and purchase the real deal. We have had it about a week and it has been played daily, for long periods of time. So far, it has lasted just fine. He is six years old so he has no problem blowing air and pressing the keys. Each key works fine, making different pitches as they are pressed, and there has been no issues there. We've enjoyed this toy because we understand it's just a toy and couldn't pass up trying it for the price. Happy Tooting!

Great quality great price
I do a karaoke DJ show and I use this as a prop I've owned at least six in the last 25 years I've now learned to keep it in the box when I'm not using it and storing it and it will last forever. It looks like a real trumpet and I'm a 6'3 man so it doesn't look like a little toy in my hand. It's a great quality toy trumpet that looks like a real trumpet. I should purchase a second one as a backup just in case I drop this one but keeping it in the box when I'm not using it keeps it in perfect condition.

Great buy for little ones!
GREAT purchase! My 3 year old is obsessed with trumpets and LOVES this. Durable and works great. Also the sound isn’t ridiculously loud making it slightly more pleasurable for parents ;)Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it doesn’t make noise when you blow right into it, you have to be holding down one of the keys to get sound. My 3 year old doesn’t really understand that, but still happy.

Fortunately for me, this "trumpet" was a Christmas gift to a six-year-old in a home other than mine.
My niece reportedly sat a store Santa's lap - not my idea - and asked for a trumpet (bad ideas beg bad results). It turned out she wanted it "to make a loud noise to wake up her Mom in the morning."I was then tasked, as the one in the family who knows how to use a computer, with finding a "good, affordable toy trumpet." As one with a musical background, I quickly discovered that there is no such thing as a "good, affordable toy trumpet." I found bad toy trumpets that were cheap. I found good trumpets that were neither affordable nor appropriate for a six-year-old.Finally, I settled on the (barely) tolerable toy trumpet being rated, which is at least reasonably affordable.PROS:• It makes noise, but not a loud noise• It can play specific notes and specific tunesCONS:• The noise it makes is annoyingly reedy or kazooey. It is not brassy; the horn is made of plastic.• Its four keys allow the player to make four specific notes, severely limiting the tune choice.• While there is a plastic mouthpiece of sorts, there is no need to pucker or form an embouchure.•• One simply blows a stream of air through the horn to keep it making noise.• If the child should develop an interest in really playing the trumpet, know that this is not a trumpet.I was not making the final decision. If I were I would have:• Simply said "No" to a trumpet,• Purchased a Shofar, or• Maybe even purchased a Trumpet Plant.

This is about the only one I could find that looked like it would be worth the investment
A Christmas hit!! My son asked for a toy trumpet for Christmas. This is about the only one I could find that looked like it would be worth the investment. Other trumpets I considered said they had kazoo sounds and seemed smaller than a real trumpet would be, more of a party toy. This trumpet is good actual size and though it does not require the effort of a real trumpet, basically plays like a real trumpet would. It IS a pretty cheap plastic material that probably won't hold up all that long, but it's light to hold, easy to play, and the sound is great. (One review said it was loud and annoying like most noise toys can get, but unless my child sounds it off right into my ear, it's really not that loud or annoying or even really very noticeable. It's a pleasant enough noise toy. It sounds more like a piano toy or a harmonica. It's not grating or tinny. It's nice.)My child loves it, and I'm very pleased with it.(The price is a little high ... I think I paid $13.99 on sale. I'd price it tops at $10.)

Kids love this trumpet
This trumpet was a hit Christmas present. After my 8 year old (with special needs) asked for a trumpet for Christmas, I got on Amazon and found this one. Wasn't sure what it would be like upon opening. But my 8 year old loves it. So does her 11 year old sister! It's simple: blow into the trumpet while pressing the colored keys. Each one is a different note and if more than one is pressed at the same time, while blowing, both notes are sounded. It's super light weight, so easy to hold for little ones. This also makes it feel not super sturdy, but I'm not complaining. Doesn't exactly sound like a trumpet, but it's a toy, so....

Really cute toy Trumpet
My two year old son LOVES this thing. Its light enough for him to carry around seems pretty durable because he treats his toys pretty rough and its all around pretty adorable. Was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was to actually blow into it and play the different keys it has! not loud and obnoxious either just perfect if you're looking for a fun little trumpet toy.

Super fun, not super long lasting.
This is a great toy that actually works like a real trumpet. My daughter loves it! My only complaint is about 5 months into having it now and the silver is wearing off. And it is made of a pretty weak plastic so I wouldn’t gift it to anyone under 3.
