I don’t fully understand your question. You cut a sharp edge along the lawn to the depth of the edging strip - in my case 6cm. The edging is fitted along the length of the lawn, and acts as a retainer - the pegs are hammered in at the base, not on top of the lawn. Leave a little (1cm) sticking up, so that when you mow the lawn you get a clean cut. Hope this helps you out x

You should ask the seller , or find other list , 4cm is quite popular product, some list it starts from 1 meter( try eBay).

Q: How does this stand up to a strimmer

The edging is made from strong plastic, I had to used a small hand saw cut into the shape I wanted. It could stand up for some kind of impacts(my 5 years old rabbit couldn't bite thought it). If your strimmer is tough than rabbit teeth , it could make some damage on the edging.

Q: Can this withstand a 'petrol strimmer' against it without causing damage?

I have a cordless strimmer and it has not damaged the edging. Hope that helps.
