Canon FD/FL to EF: update Works now.
The replacement works perfectly, and so I update my review, of course.I contacted the Seller, and a new adapter was sent without much discussion. This one works as it should. All fine.A product is only as valuable as the support given. Thanks.Initial Review *Nicely wrapped in a storage container, while all parts are certainly machined to high standards. However, This FD/Fl to EF OES adapter fails miserably when it comes to shooting. To have the F-Stop working correctly, the ring has to be turned to its Lock position. The slightest motion of the camera creates a back slide of that ring based on the little spring that keeps the aperture where it should be. To be clear, stopping down to F/16 will quickly become much more significant, which is hard to say, as the F-Stop indicator of the lens is not changing. This is a considerable limitation. In short, this is a great adapter if one likes to shoot wide open. In other words, I'm deeply disappointed.Since pick-ups are not free anymore, I stuck with it. K&F is no longer on my shopping list.

Much better than Fotodiox PRO for finicky FD Breech Lock mounts
Fit my Albinar FD Breechlock mounts way WAY better than the Fotodiox PRO. That one just wouldn't mount without modification, the KF Concepts mounted up just fine like it should. Good image quality, sturdy build. I recommend.Lenses mounted:Albinar 80-200 Breechlock (Both F3.9 & F4.5 versions. F4.5 version wouldn't mount on Fotox)Albinar 28mm Breechlock - Tight fit aperture doesn't close to F22 as a result, but I'm fine with thatCanon 50mm F2.8 FD-NewVivitar 30-70 BreechlockVivitar 135 F2.8 Breechlock

Good addition to my arsenal
When stopped down there is almost always major flareing but if your subject if lit properly can take good photos

Thius adapter works like a charm!
I've tried other adapters for Canon FD to Canon EOS and none of them worked. This one worked great! I can get Focus to Infinity and beyond. Goes on easy, and coms off easyif needed. The image is sharp and so is the build quality.

Freezes aperture and freeze
The media could not be loaded. If I could give this less stars I would. On my first lens it froze the aperture. I thought it wasn’t the adapter so I took it to a camera shop and when the owner put the adapter on another lens it froze to the lens. The camera shop owner and I spent two hours trying to get it of before he just gave me his lens for free because he was the one that had put the adapter on. I took it to multiple repair shops before restoring to sawing it off that lens. It was still stuck by the metal inner ring with the screws jutting. I even dismantled the lens to see if I could get it off from another angle and nothing. It’s a lens killer that froze the aperture of two lens.

Not what I'd hoped. Wanted to adapt a Vivitar 55mm 2.8 Macro with an FD Canon mount to a DSLR Canon EOS. Attaching the adapter was a bit glitchy but after a little patience it fit the EOS just fine. The frustration begins when you bring your photos to the computer and find that the focus quality is not what you expected. The excitement of having your Macro lens back in your lens arsenal quickly fades. Although the subject appears to be in focus through the view finder you quickly find the final photo is just out of focus. I tried readjusting the diopter on the view finder, not it, tried adjusting lens focus in front and in back of the subject, not it. Tried mirror lock-up, not it, tried setting highest quality photo and ISO to 100, not it. Adjusting the aperture to f8 helped. Knowing what the lens is capable of without the adapter, I would rate the focus quality with the adapter a 7 or 8 out of 10.It is what it is, a poor man's way to add a new (old) lens to their digital camera. The adapter works adequately but I would not recommend it if you are expecting the sharpness of your original lens.

Perfect
I bought this to use on a Canon EOS 30D for an old lens I had on my Canon AE1. Perfect fit.
