If you do needlework, you need this!
When I do needlepoint, sometimes the needle falls off the floss and ends up between the couch cushion and who know where.I lost 2 needles when I decided to purchase this lighted magnet. I needed a little stronger flashlight so I put one of those smaller flashlights and the flashlight on this one between my cushion and the arm of the sofa. The needle was stuck way down there so I couldn't get my fingers to get hold of it. The magnet holder expands and so I stuck it right where the needle was and the magnet caught the needle so I could retrieve it.

Good deal. Picks up small items, light is great for seeing down into the areas where the screws/bolts always fall.
The LED light on the end limits the strength of the magnet, since most of the edge is light, so it won't pick up huge items. But that's not what it is designed for. If you drop a tiny screw, you just wave this over the area where you think it fell, and it will stick to the end. The light is useful for seeing down into areas where you're trying to pick up items.My only concern is replacing the battery. It looks like the end piece unscrews, but I didn't want to take it apart till I need to.

the best thing about this product is the very bright LED ...
It's hard for me to pick things up off of the floor. I put this product to use the day I received it. It has a long reach and that magnet is as strong as Garry's Warehouse says that it is. But for me, the best thing about this product is the very bright LED flash light. I used this pick up tool to retrieve a bold from under a car. This tool is great for any one. It's even better for someone who has a disability, like I do. For the price, I don't think you can find a better pick up tool.

One of my favorite sewing room tools.
The light in the one I already owned had stopped working & my "repair guy" husband checked the batteries, which were fine so he decided it must be the bulb. We couldn't find a source to replace it so I ordered the tool I just bought from you. It's a great help to me.I have a back that doesn't like bending down so this is a wonderful helper. I still have the "lightless" one so if you know where I can find a bulb I'd appreciate it.

Cheap Plastic, Weaker Magnet - But LED Light Makes it Worthwhile
Not as strong as I had hoped. Also the head is all plastic so feels flimsy and cheap. It is a cheap Chinese product so I can't be too upset. The main reason I chose this over a stronger magnet version was because of the LED light. I haven't used it for real yet, but in test-mode it seems suitable for most jobs.

It does the job. My LED wasn't functioning on receipt and I was instructed to send it back for a free replacement. I didn't bother since it is such an inexpensive item and the LED is a novelty. I wear a headlight when working on the types of things that would require me to use this tool so I am not too concerned about it.

Great gadget for craft room.
Works great picking up small pins and needles and metal dies in my craft area. No more bending or searching for items on my hands and knees.
