I just got this and only tested it for a short time, but I felt noticeably cooler sitting in the sun using this umbrella. It was the first time in my life that I bought this type of umbrella and I had no idea it would work. I couldn't believe it, but it's true, it works. :)I also compared it with a regular and a different lightweight umbrella. Normal and light umbrellas filter the sun, block the sun but not the heat. The sun continues to warm you. However, this is definitely cooler than a regular umbrella. Because it keeps the sun's rays and prevents the heat from passing through.Perfect design, umbrella quality, umbrella opening feeling, being resistant to the sun, working great in the rain, strong and sturdy irons. Good thing I bought it.

This umbrella/parasol is a great quality and size.It collapses down into a manageable size and stands against the wind well.The only problem I have had with it is that it can require a lot of force to collapse down so you may need to use a wall or the floor on some days.

This is a fairly sturdy umbrella...it has turned inside out a few times in strong winds but I'm yet to find a brolly that is totally gale proof! It turns back to shape without any problem and I have received a few compliments about its unusual look. It's more like a summer brolly for the beach 😁, but I like it.

As other reviewers mentioned it is a little on the heavy side but don’t let that put you off. It really works. On a very hot holiday I was walking around in my own little zone of shade, definitely a few degrees lower temperature and very sun-safe. Teenage kids thought it was amusing at first but soon wanted to share it with me. Pop up mechanism great though a bit stiff to pop it down but not really a problem. Had a fain plasticky smell on first opening but that disappeared once out in the air.. I recommend this product if like me you are keen to be out of the sun.

I'm not sure why people were talking about difficulty in closing this product. I was in and out of the sun and had to close it quite often. It's wasn't difficult at all. And it was very compact for carrying. I felt the envy of all around me in the hot Egyptian desert and often found people trying to squeeze into the shade it created. I would definitely recommend this product as a sun parasol.

Excellent quality, sturdy and does the job brilliantlyI bought it for my husband, who burns easily, and he is delighted. Now he doesn’t need to wear the hat all the time which he finds uncomfortable when it’s very hot.The umbrella has a much better coverage area
