I love this machine!!!
This machine is a beast! I have St.Augustine grass and if it grows too high, it can be quite the chore to push a mower through it but this machine pushes through with ease! I do like how it easily folds and stores away when you're done mowing too. I have a mango tree too and it drops a bunch of leaves daily. I will use a blower to send the leaves from the driveway directly onto the lawn because this machine will mulch them all as I mow into a fine powder. This is my first electric mower and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It is quiet too! There's no loud engine noise to upset the neighbors. I haven't mowed at dusk yet but it's nice to know I have lights on the mower the day I do. The mow heights have levels and if you're not sure of the height you need to mow your grass, I've attached a photo showing the level you should select for the grass height you're looking for.

Mowing on the mountainside
This is my first experience with a battery operated mower so, I don't really have anything to compare this to. Here are my thoughts about the mower. I have a relatively small yard, roughly 1/3 of an acre. My yard is anything BUT flat. I live on the side of a mountain. So, those of you who live in the mountains/hills or have a sloped yard this thing rips! I started with the smaller capacity battery to see how long it would last. It made it all the way through the front yard, and about half of the back. Pretty impressive considering how NOT flat my yard is. The self-propel feature was a lifesaver especially up and down the hill. The back yard was pretty overgrown and is more sloped than the front. I have no problem saying the larger capacity battery would have no issues taking care of both the front and back in a single charge. It took just over an hour to cut both front and back.Excellent - Easy to setup and use. It has an extra battery. Plenty of power to mow thick overgrown areas. Clipping bag has decent capacity. Perfect size mower for my needs. Good speed control for self-propel feature.Good - Weight of the mower is good. Value seems good for the money. We'll see how the blades hold up over time. Not so good - My only gripe so far is the self propel feature doesn't always engage the first time. - This is just me being nit-picky.Bad - Nothing so farUgly - NothingI also own the 16" String Trimmer which I bought from a brick and mortar big box store, which is pretty awesome as well.

Surprising power - obliterates grass to powder
If I could give this self propelled EGO mower seven stars I would. I was skeptical about replacing my trusty gas mower with battery BUT…this mower is a BEAST and the blade is SO SO sharp and powerful… it chops grass into confetti. I mow my yard every 5 days - and bought this because I need a mower that has self power. The self drive on this mower is adjustable… so it allows you to even walk along side and hold on with one hand as it powers forward through even the thickest grass. I just let go of the drive handle to make my turns and pivots. The obliteration of grass blades means that your collector does not fill as fast - as long as you mow when it is dry. I dump the EGO bag about 1/2 as much as my gas mower.I can mow my 1/2 acre lawn in about 45 minutes now and use about 20% of the battery on full power. I’m telling you this thing is next level. I already have the EGO chain saw and it is a god send also as these 6.0 batteries are interchangeable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!My only complaint is that is does not cut quite short enough… at its lowest it’s about 1.25” and I would like to be closer to .75” like a fairway …but hey my grass still looks amazing just a bit longer like the second cut.

Impressive but for one issue with evenness of cut
I purchased the Ego Power+ Select Cut mower with Touch Drive a month ago and have mowed my lawn six times. Except for one annoying point I am very pleased.Good:Controls – excellent: Some reviewers have commented that the Touch Drive was awkward in that it took some getting used to and sometimes they inadvertently triggered it while maneuvering mower while cutting. I found the control buttons easy to work with and had no issues while cutting. I admit that at times when not cutting (like in the garage) it is easy to momentarily bump the button and have the mower lurch forward. Note that the Touch Drive is automatically disabled when the handle is folded/collapsed.Storage – excellent: Love how light the mower is and how drop-dead easy it is to fold up and, if desired, stand vertical for storageBlade Change – excellent: Very easy to do as long as you remember which bolts/washer go where and the right orientation. Love that stamping on the blades reminding you which side faces down!Single Point of Adjustment for Height – excellent: Very easy to operate. Due to mower’s light weight there is no muscling of the lever like encountered with my gas mower. I love how ultra-low I can lower the deck when trying to suck up grass cuttings and edging debris on the side walk and driveway. (Note that I use the bag collection for my first pass at each boarder of my lawn. In these passes almost no grass cuttings are left on side walk or drive way … much more effective than my gas mower.)Turning/Maneuvering/Backing-up during Mowing – excellent: Light weight and ease of the Touch Drive operation make the mower agile … no muscling or wrestling effort. The angles of the handles are ergonomically positioned to make steering/turning/maneuvering/pushing mower very easy and comfortable.Blade Stop & Restart – excellent: So much more convenient than my gas mower where I have to restart the engine every time the blade stops.Bad:Evenness of Cut – does not meet expectations: I always mulch my lawn so I first used the mulcher blade. However, the mower left a narrow strip of uneven grass with each pass, i.e. a strip of grass not cut to the same height of the main body of the cut. Eventually I concluded that this was result of the wheels, on the uncut grass side of the mower, matting down the grass so it was then too low for the blade to cut. After mowing the stripe of matted grass starts to return to a more vertical posture thus making the narrow strip of higher grass more prominent. I switched out the mulch blade for the high-lift blade. This improves the evenness of the cut and, in my normal grass height cutting, the mulching actually looked more effective (grass mulched to a shorter length). However, this did not totally eliminate the striping. Even second passes are not very effective in lifting and cutting the matted tracks since it takes a while for the grass to become fully erect and the mower has insufficient lift force to draw up the matted wheel tracks.Conclusion:: The Ego mower does not have the lifting force of my standard gas lawn mower. I have not tested but it is possible that this issue of striping would not occur if I was bagging or side-discharging while using the high-lift blade. It would be beneficial if Ego had a higher blade speed mode for mulching that would increase the lift force sufficient to overcome the matted wheel tracks. The LM2200 series model with aluminum deck does advertise as having 3 different blade speed settings (ECO, Normal, Turbo) … “cutting performance with up to 11.1 foot-pounds of torque and blade speeds up to 3,350 RPM to generate powerful suction and increased lift for a precise, even cut”
