Decalcify - Fruitex-B, Vitamin K2 (MK4 and MK7), Magnesium and Potassium Orotate, 90 Vegetarian Capsules

I am a repeat buyer of this product. Other reviewers have written about some of the ingredients, yet I see that there has not been much about the importance of Boron, so I will focus on that benefit. The information that I am sharing is in the scientific literature, and I am including the sources so that anyone interested may look into this info some more!1) According to Rex Newnham and Assoc, (1994) "Essentiality of Boron for healthy bones and joints" the evidence in support of the necessity of dietary boron for health has actually been building up since as far back as 1963. The following information comes from other research reviewed within that publication:a) those who have arthritis also have less Boron in their bones than those who do not have arthritis,b) those who take boron supplements have bones that are harder to cut than those who do not take a boron supplement,c) world-wide epidemiology has shown that there is an inverse relationship between boron intake and arthritis (more boron = less arthritisin the population with a daily intake of 3 - 10 mg yielding a prevalence rates of 0 -10% in the population, and those withlittle to no daily boron intake experiencing arthritis at rates up to 70%), andd) experimental research with both rats and,,,,e) humans shows improvement in arthritis pain, stiffness and disability with boron supplementation over the course of 8 weeks or longer.2) According to Miljkovic, Scorei, Cimpoias¸u & Scorei, (2009) Calcium Fructoborate: Plant-Based Dietary Boron for Human Nutrition:a) boron taken orally is readily absorbed with a half-life just over 20 hours, and then most of it is excreted.b) The authors also state that the World Health Organization indicated that daily boron intake could be 1-13 mg per day.c) They caution that boron is known to affect hormone levels: "boron supplementation obviously elevates the serum concentrationsof 17-β-estradiol and testosterone" (Nielsen, Hunt, Mullen, & Hunt, 1987, cited in Miljkovic et al,. 2009).d) It is also known that boron deprivation increases the urinary excretion of calcium and magnesium and decreases the levels of17-β-estradiol and testosterone in women at post-menopause (Nielsen, 2004b).e) Boron is known to affect the activity of cell membranes; this information is complex so I do not dare to try to interpret it, I can onlytrust these experts that Boron is important for this cellular activity.f) Boron supplementation in those with Vitamin D deficiency rose the serum levels of Vitamin D 20% without further intervention.g) Boron also appears to reduce the risk of prostate cancer in a dose-dependent fashion.h) boron-depleted diets in humans has been associated with poorer performance on tasks measuring manual dexterity, perception,and long-term memory (Penland, 1994).i) Other research has supported the combination of Boron and Omega-3 fatty acids as more beneficial than either alone.j) According to the authors, Calcium fructoborate this is the form in which people ingest boron from plants, provided that the boron waspresent in the soil where the plants were grown. The authors indicate that this form is much more bioactive than plain boron.k) There is some research support for it's effectiveness, in the form of Calcium fructoborate, against breast cancer.l) It also demonstrated superior relief over plain boron, for those with osteoarthristis.All of the above information has been taken from the research articles listed. I'm not a physician, though I am a gardener, and one who is now adding Borax to the garden soil to provide boron for my vegetables and fruits, and obtain CF in that way. I am still using this product to be sure that I get enough in my diet, as I have only begun to start supplementing the soil. In one of the studies that I read, an area of New Zealand was mentioned as the only known place where people do not develop arthritis, instead people go there to heal. Boron was found to be the healing agent. Where I live (in the US, there is not enough Boron in the soil to prevent or heal from arthritis). Happily, I can at least change that in my own yard, and minimize the odds of osteoarthritis and other conditions mentioned in the studies. It is so great that they are figuring out why women are having hormone drops at post-menopause (beyond what should happen; we all need testosterone)!The solid plastic bottle packaging protects the capsules well. Both the bottle and the cap are recyclable. The cap unscrews easily, quite thoughtful given that the more arthritis a person has, the more interest they may have in these products. I'm thankful to have learned of this research before getting arthritis, and now I am preventing it. I hope that this information is helpful to other shoppers. I've had severe osteoporosis since 8 yo due to having Celiac Disease since conception and more than 50+ Drs mis-diagnosing me my entire life! 4 years ago, my Dexa-Scan reported my osteoporosis at (-)4.4! I read about DeCalcify and gave it a try for 1.5 years, and the latest scan showed (-)3.4!!! I actually ADDED bone density back in instead of slipping backwards every year! WaHOO! The party ended when it disappeared from Amazon, and the only place I could find it was a beauty website, and then that disappeared as well. I was forced to use other Vit K2 products, but my fingernails started shredding and everything went backwards. Finally, I can get it again! Next fall I will be due for another scan, so I'm expecting more bone density being added since I'm back to using 2 capsules/day....maybe I'll up it to 3/day and see how much more density I can add! SCREW the Farma companies who say that it's impossible to add bone density! I tried Fosamax for 4 days about 30 yrs ago -- it ripped my immune system apart within 4 days - took me 3 months to gain it back! SO glad that I never went the Big Farma route as now their drugs are causing bone loss and brittleness!Last year I noticed that in addition to my bone density increasing, my "normally" deformed-looking fingers were looking a lot smoother! The knuckles had actually decreased in thickness!!! I can bend my fingers fully to my palms without restriction! My thick band wedding ring I had to force over my knuckle, then it turned round and round as the rest of my finger was much smaller. NOW, it fits easily over that knuckle--maybe time to get it resized!This is an EXCELLENT product that WORKS and my Dexa-Scans PROVE IT!!!

My only problem is it keeps going out of stock. When I take it on a regular basis, I have less hand and wrist pain when working at my computer and a lot less leg/foot pain at bed time. I am not sure why I have these issues, but they start getting really bad the longer I go without this product, and when I find it back in stock, and start taking it again, the symptoms slowly start to dissipate. I have set this up for subscribe and save several times, and have even ordered extras, because I know from experience, sooner or later, it will no longer be available again and will stay that way for months. Please never stop making this product and maybe develop a better supply chain. I keep trying other combinations that have similar ingredients but they just don't work the same.
